Reminds me a bit of Bagley but smoother.

Young Chris Webber, he's way thicker throughout his frame than Bagley and can actually shoot. Still sad Bagley hasn't panned out he was the man at Duke. How Thibs used Randle is ideally how whichever NBA team drafts him will use him.

Kendall Brown will likely be a lottery pick and I think Matthew Mayer will be a first rounder too.

I've always had a ton of respect for Scott Drew, was happy to see Baylor finally win a championship. I remember Duke's E8 game vs Baylor in Houston being one of the most intense/best games I've ever watched.

Was a few months before I started at Baylor so I didn’t have any connection but I just know a TERRIBLE charge was called against us that likely lost that game.

Weve had some really bad losses in March (Yale, Georgia State) but Drew gets too much ****. He is a damn good coach and likely has the greatest rebuild in sports. The culture in the basketball program is as good as any and it looks like we are entering the blue blood recruiting status. And our transfer portal involvement is amazing.

Adam Flagler is going to be a near All American talent or at least All Big 12 1st guy next year. Dale Bonner was a crazy good underrated pickup and will be another stud guard in this program.

And that hasn’t even gotten to Langston Love, Keyonte George, and Dillon Hunter. Crazy excited for next year.

I can see Duren dropping to 4/5 in this class sort of like Kuminga dropped.  I think he is raw and limited offensively. He has a little Dwight Howard in him but needs more of an offensive game to be a top NBA prospect IMO.

I still think the top 5 in this class will be pretty good.  If Chet puts on any bulk, he will be the top pick but he could also struggle a little and drop to that 5/7 range.  Also there is still a chance Emoni could end up in this class if they change the rules or grant a waiver. It feels like a much stronger class than 20 and 19 (aside from Zion) and probably 18 but still all that could change based on how these kids progress.

I am guessing a couple of these guys will not be first rounders next year.  I think Montero in the OT league and the G Leaguers will have a tough time.  Hardy could show out but I dont think he is the level of Green so he may end up like Todd, or at least falling further than Kuminga.  Dyson Daniels might end up like Nix as could Scoota and Foster.  Just to many mouths to feed to all show out and they are going against tougher competition and aren't the "elite" of this class. I could also see Baldwin dropping.  He doesnt seem to be an elite athlete and if he doesn't dominate at UW Mil, he will take a hit.  I think going to those small programs is such a risk because there isn't a lot of talent around to show what you can do in March when the pressure is on and if you fail, then you fail hard because your failing against B level competition.

Duren will have such a bigger spotlight on him playing at Memphis, especially if Memphis also lands Emoni Bates. He'll also be playing significantly worse competition at Memphis than Kuminga did in the G-League over the course of a 30+ college season vs 15 games in a bubble setting. At 6'10" 220 with a 7'5" wingspan, plus athleticism, and elite rim protection ability I think the ideal outcome for him would be a Bam Adebayo type of 5. He'll need to show more of a face up game and the ability to stretch the floor at Memphis. But there is a reason that he passed Emoni Bates in the composite rankings as the #1 player in 2022 before he reclassified.

Yeah the top 5 picks should be very strong, especially if Emoni is allowed to declare. I like Paolo more than any prospect in the class, he looks like a Chris Webber clone. Chet is the wild card in the class, imo. As you said he could be the #1 pick or he could fall to the 5-7 range, how his body develops and how he holds up against college competition will be huge for him. After the first tier of guys it looks like a fairly weak class though particularly for guards.

I think Montero will be a lottery pick, especially playing in the OTE league. He balled out in the FIBA America's U15 despite being 2 years younger then the field, balled out during the FIBA U17 World Cup despite being 2 years younger the the field, and played really well at the Basketball Without Borders event despite being the youngest player there. He played in Spain last year and averaged 18 ppg.

Hardy is certainly not Green level but he should still be a top 10 pick. He's a crafty scoring guard and will have the ultimate green light. Not that high on him though he reminds me of KPJ but I don't think there's any chance he falls out of the 1st round in a class without very many good guards.

Dyson and Daniels I could both see falling and Scoota isn't even eligible until 2023.

I think Patrick Baldwin Jr will be fine, he reminds me a lot of Michael Porter Jr. He went to a small school because his dad's the coach there.

unless some emerge later in the draft process.  thats why im glad the rockets went with green at pick 2 over mobley.

TyTy Washington could be that guy, 6'3" 195 with a 6'9" wingspan going to Kentucky. Jean Montero or Kennedy Chandler could also move up but they're both pretty small guards. Jaden Ivey is a solid prospect but he's more of a 2 guard. And Hardy is solid but reminds me of a KPJ type player, nowhere near Jalen Green level as a prospect.

Next years class will be top heavy with bigs and wings with guys like Bates (potentially), Duren, Banchero, Chet, Jovic, PBJ, Smith, AGJ, etc.

I dont mean Duren is going to fall out of the top 5-7, but he could drop if he is one dimensional and doesn't dominate lesser competition.  He has the upside athletically like Kuminga had so he won't fall far, I just don't see him being the top pick in this class.

Same with Hardy.  I think he has potential and the athletic ability to be a top pick, he just will have to prove it.  I don't think he is as sure of a bet in the G League as Green was and if he struggles there, he might not have enough athletically to be a top 5-8 pick like Kuminga was.  I think Hardy can be a Brad Beal type which is solid but isn't a ceiling like the guards at the top of this years draft.

Pretty much was just noting that it will be interesting to see who rises and falls.  Every year there are guys projected top 10 right now that end up not getting drafted or go second round.  Also guys not fully on radars for the top 10 that come from nowhere and show out in better situations with more opportunities.

As for Baldwin, he does remind me some of Porter.  Porter fell due to injury and didn't play much, similar to Wiseman they were drafted on potential and hype due to little tape. But if Baldwin plays doesn't show out, he could slide down boards some.  Again not sure he drops out of the first round but could be a later pick like Jalen Johnson was this year.

The Pistons could use some bigs.  I would love a Paolo or Chet if chet bulks up as I think our guards are solid but could use some more athleticism on the wing.  Bey is solid but he and maybe Hayes can and will need to be upgraded eventually but having some scoring options inside would help tremendously.
