I haven't sat down and dug into the draft yet this year but with the Pels elimination probably will start to do so since we have the Lakers pick. Who's the best fit for the Pels if the Lakers pick stays at 8 or somewhere in that range?

Another versatile wing like Johnny Davis, Dyson Daniels, or AJ Griffin would make sense. Possibly Jalen Duren depending on what happens with Jonas.

From what I've seen on Griffin, it looks like he doesn't play a lick of defense. He looks so stiff out there trying to defend. Am I trippin'? I haven't seen a ton of his tape, so I could be.

I think Griffin's defense will improve once he get in the league.  Keep in mind he is still 18 and trying to get back to 100 percent. He has the tools to be a good defender.

He has the tools to be a good defensive player but did get lost with rotations at times. A big issue for him was that he started the season injured after not playing the last 2 years of HS ball so I think the game will start to speed down for him.

That's a lot of risk. I hope the Pels avoid him if he falls to us.

im the opposite.  I'm hoping they avoid him because he is the perfect fit for that team. Pelicans can afford to take that risk.  He is such a perfect fit for them lol

Is there a rule against drafting the rights of players that won't come out until the next year? That's how the Celtics got Bird. I'm sure it isn't allowed anymore, but I thought I'd ask.

Yeah, they closed that loop hole shortly after Bird went to Boston
