xrade
Seems like teams are holding onto their WR’s or trying to. The WR market is just insane. I’d just draft a WR that we don’t have to worry about paying for a few years. Then draft their replacement Steelers like. That is how you keep the cap manageable. I wonder what it cost to keep Cooks. It 10 years ago wasn't an elite position. It now is. It's right there with DE and OL. QB obviously will always be supreme... but a QB is no good without WRs and an OL. Teams have realized this. And we need to as well. I cant say JD hasn't bc he has spent a good penny on Davis and spent 2 2nds rounder on WR and made attempts at trading for top WRs. So it appears he gets it. But we still need that game changer at WR. And it appears he knows that.

Wide Receiver is always weird, there's a huge talent pool there similar to running back but you need 3 on the field most of the time and then depth as well. I like the way the Steelers handle the position.

I like the way the Steelers handle the position. Ya they more built the WR group of having 3 great #2s. Now Johnson has pushed himself into that #1 conversation (he is a #1 if you ask me). But with Claypool and a healthy JuJu, that's what they had, 3 great #2s. JuJu is gone, so that's changed for them now. But that's generally what they had the last few seasons. That being said it was just in 2018 that Brown and JuJu were both over 1300yds and had 22tds combined.
