Same. Couple with what happened to Burrow, it’s malpractice in my opinion. Fireable Is probably too strong, but I’m angry for Bengs fans…

Most of them wanted Chase so you shouldn’t feel too bad for them. But yeah, way too early to come to conclusions on Chase.

If Chase becomes Davante Adams, would that be worth passing over a top LT? That’s probably his best case scenario in my opinion.

That's just playing the results. The methodology should still be the same

I don’t think so. To me it’s much easier to find a good-to-elite receiver than it is finding a top LT.

Burrow probably had a lot of pull in the draft room and wanted his buddy but sometimes what we want ain’t what we need. Especially when you already have Boyd and Higgins at receiver plus you just blew out your knee.

Yeah, as a Browns fan I was kind of relived that Cincinnati passed on Sewell. Chase could easily become a stud, but like you said, they already have a couple of really good receivers and it won't matter much if the Bengals' offensive line can't keep Burrow protected.

Plus, with drafting Sewell, they could have moved Jonah Williams to the right side or inside to guard, so they would have been upgrading at two positions.

Technically the Bengals passed on a RT, based on Sewell's NFL position.

If Chase becomes a top 5 WR, and Penei became, say, the 14th or 15th best LT in NFL, did the Bengals mess up?

I’d pretty easily take Terron Armstead over any WR in the league...he’s not Orlando Pace. I guess it just depends on what you prioritize

Would you take Dion Dawkins or Taylor Decker over any WR in the league? A top 10-15 LT, but not top 5?

And then we wonder why teams don’t want their QB to be involved in personnel desicions

Yea. Unless it’s a Brady or Mahomes they shouldn’t.

Mahomes drafted our RB Clyde Edwards Helaire for us and before that I’ve seen Mahomes hype up tiny running backs that come thru camp but never do anything in regular season action. Personally I wanted Jonathan Taylor who I imagine behind our new offensive line and he’d never be the focus of the defense or get a ton of carries like he did in college I think it would’ve been perfect.

still think CEH could be a good fit for our offense but man the dude is just small.
