WW2 focusing on the Pacific War,  the western and eastern fronts and the North African campaign.

Afterwards all the characters you play in those come together to do a mission to take down a successor being groomed to lead should anything happen to Hitler. Or something like that

I already know I'm not getting this game, but I'll check out the Alpha just to try Champion Hill

Open beta for PS4/5 Sept 16-20 and open to all platforms 19-20 just in case you wanted to try the reg multiplayer

Honestly I'm just not at all interested. With the news that they are bringing back doors and mounting, no dead silence perk, kill streaks instead of scorestreaks, and probably similar maps to MW2019, I do not want any part of that. It sounds like it will just be a WW2 skin of MW, and I hated that game.

The new engine is incredible, and I really liked 2v2 on small maps, but for regular 6v6 I hate all the design choices they made.

I'm just pumped for all the intense players to leave Cold War so the SBMM loosens up and I can enjoy that game.

Are they actually putting effort into the campaign or just the usual terrible campaign where they solely focus on nothing but online multiplayer?

Are COD campaigns *** now? They were always Michael Bay dumbass **** but it was still kind of fun but I don't think I've played the last two, maybe 3

I loved them early on. It’s what actually made call of duty a great game. I played one of the call of duties a few years ago and it was flat out garbage and it’s clear no effort was put into it. The early ones that were based around WW2 were phenomenal IMO. Just like the Medal of Honor games before Call of Duty. I understand that it’s different today and most people only want the game for online multiplayer but don’t neglect what actually put your game on the map.

I've been trying to play though the campaigns again from the beginning and as much as I still love those old ones you start to remember how repetitive the gameplay was. And oh man is the animation hilarious. Hell I sat and played COD2 online for a few hours the other day too. Genuinely good times still though.

Wait, I thought Vanguard was just a Warzone expansion onto Cold War? This is a whole new game multiplayer/zombies and all?

Yes, brand new game from a different developer. It is based on the engine from Infinite Ward's Modern Warfare 2019, but made by Sledgehammer. Treyarch is doing the zombies portion.
