Pre-season 2021 - Week 3 - Patriots and Jolly Blue Giants

Giants vs. Patriots: Time, television, radio and streaming schedule

Big storylines going into the final pre-season outing (which is weird):

1. Cam vs Mac - who takes the lead in the QB battle? Does Mac get the nod to take first team reps in this one? Does Cam get the final pre-season starter treatment?

2. Shaun Wade - making a trade for a rookie, an end of depth chart rookie, are odd. He's a guy to watch in this game to see if there is anything to him.

3. Damien Harris's back up - With Sony now in LA, the RB depth chart, while still deep, is completely up in the air. James White's role is likely locked in stone as the pass catching back/3rd down specialist. That leaves Rhamondre Stevenson and JJ Taylor. What type of role do they carve out? Are they just used based on match ups or situations or does one spell Harris exclusively?

4. Chase Winovich - with a GLUT of edge players on the roster, Chase's role is relatively unclear. He had a solid game versus the Eagles last week.

5. Nelson Agholor still does not have a reception this preseason. With missed camp time, our highest paid WR needs to show us SOMETHING.

6. The Warring project ending just has fast as it began. Still, the way our TE group fleshes out is till up in the air with young talent and proven veterans alike.

7. Can Quinn Nordin beat out the incumbent Nick Folk?

1. Bill Belichick is stubborn. Unless Newton gets hurt and can’t play, he will start Week 1 no matter what happens tonight.

2. Looking forward to seeing what Wade can do, myself. Can’t ever have enough DBs.

3. I think Stevenson backs up Harris, with White as the third down back. JJ Taylor will be a change of pace back from the bruising Harris and Stevenson.

4. Winovich makes the team, but I think he’s on a short leash. He will need to produce and make plays because he’s kind of a one trick pony.

5. The Patriots need WRs that can actually catch a TD under live game conditions. If I’m Belichick, I play Agholor the entire game tonight, and throw to him till he catches a TD.

6. I think the Patriots are keeping most of their TE-centric offense under wraps until the 12th. Time will tell.

7. I don’t think so.

All interesting questions Deadpulse. I feel like cam is gonna be starting. I haven't seen much of wade and he didn't really stand out in the highlight videos of the raven's 2 preseason games I watched. I'd say Harris and Taylor will be routing mostly situational. If they are hot one week BB stays with them as main back next week kind of thing. Chase did look really good against the eagles. We'll see more of him I'm sure. Agholor hasn't impressed me much. I got to say I'm not a fan of him but I'm open to him impressing me. I don't think Quin makes the cut.

Nice sack to start the defense off on a good note
