Scalamania
Indy is trying really hard to not give up that first round pick next year.

Kiltman
Always love a trade when you can move someone you were probably going to cut.
Jroc04
Pryor was just terrible at points too. After last year, I figured he’d be off the team. He just never turned the corner. Great maneuvering to get a trade up though.
Jeezla
Huge W for us. A 6th? That's what backup QB's go for, let alone a turnstile that made me cringe every time he was forced to start.
oland11
To put into perspective, Elliot Shorr-Parks doesn’t like this move. Therefore it’s a good move.

I’m almost curious as to why. Aside from just going the opposite way on everything.
Jeezla
Now package up that 6th, JJAW, Dillard, Ertz, and Barnett for Josh Allen and CJ Henderson. And then sign KJ Wright. Edited August 31, 2021 by Jeezla

His reasoning is that he'd prefer more depth on the OL as opposed to trading him away for a 6th. But in reality with Dickerson being activated and Herbig, and Driscoll playing multiple positions Pryor had a longshot for making the team. Probably have Dickerson, Herbig, Driscoll, Dillard and maybe Clark as our backup OLs. But ESP's takes are ~MOSTLY~ lame. This is one of them. That is definitely just someone trying to be a contrarian for clicks. In my opinion, Pryor was at best the Eagles 11th best o-lineman. He was getting cut and the Eagles got value. There's nothing to not like about this trade.

Thanks for saving me time. yeah, Pryor sucked and had a decent shot at getting cut. Better bodies on longer deals are still here.
Folesadelphia
The problem with saying you'd rather have depth than a 6th round pick is that Pryor would've been cut and therefore not adding any depth to the o-lineman. The Colts made the trade so they didn't have to hope Pryor made it to them in the waiver wire/free agency.
