The 2nd edition of my mock will be coming likely sometime next week in early October. I'd love to hear any recommendations about team needs from fans of different teams. Tell me how these first few weeks of football have shaken out for your team and where you think your team will be looking to upgrade in the early rounds of the next draft. All of that said of course with the caveat that I won't automatically take that position for you, but it will be a part of my thought process when doing the mock.

For the Ravens there's only 3 options imo. 1. OL- Tackle, Guard, or Center is fine.. we need talent all over the line. 2. CB- Only lock for the future long term and short term is Marlon Humphrey 3. EDGE/Pass Rush- Interior Pass Rush is big need with Calais Campbell possibly retiring, but this DI class kind of sucks. So an EDGE player who could join our outside rotation but also rush on the interior might be the pick.

Ikem Ekwonu G/T NC State is a favorite of Ravens fans already because he's an obvious perfect fit as a bulldozer behemoth in our rushing attack. So I think he'd make a lot of sense.

Also, like every other sane fan of a pro football team, I think it would be awesome if we got Aiden Hutchinson. Inside/Outside rush versatility and a great scheme fit for the Ravens. Would be nice to finally get a good prospect from Michigan too, because so far the John Harbaugh/Jim Harbaugh Michigan connection has yielded us sh*t 😒. Unless the Ravens lose like 8-10 more games this season(which might be possible with all our injuries 🤷‍♂️)... I don't think we'll have a shot at him though. He's having a dominant year and will probably drop some crazy testing numbers. Likely Top 15 lock when all is said and done.

Been working on this since Tuesday. I used the current Tankathon draft order (including projected comp picks) so don't blame me for where your team is. Planned on only doing 2 rounds but decided to push through to 3 to further test/develop my board. Still a lot of prospects to discover and watch. I was hitting the limits on guys I actually know about/rate by the end of the 3 rounds so I'm glad I did it. As always, let me know what you think. I love feedback on team needs/fits and also on prospects you think I'm missing on for the first 3 rounds. Started doing writeups but I was writing like a legit paragraph for each pick so I decided to quit while I was ahead but if you have any questions just ask and I'll be more than happy to share my thought process.

I’m fine with it considering the Belly is backing him up/providing competition

I guess I just wasn't that high on Meinerz myself/think he's better off at guard than center but fair enough, I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Investing in the trenches again. I’ll almost never complain about that.

Made the most sense to me. I know Morse is a potential/likely cap casualty this offseason and your guard situation isn't great. And DT seems ok but could be improved. The only other thing I really considered was a CB but that didn't seem like a huge need either.

I think they’ll try to rework Morse contract so they can keep him. His relationship with Allen is fantastic. But they definitely need a long term solution and better depth.

Free agency will key for CB. Wallace and Taron Johnson aren’t under contract past this season but I think both could be back. Even still, I expect the address it early in the draft. Though I thought that this year too lol

I would go thibs , kinnard, Kendrick, bell.

Thibs is a no brainer.

Instead of Wydermyer I would go kinnard as he could take over at g or RT.  Wydermyer is decent but I think we go with a vet fa at te.

With kinnard in round 2 we could go walker but instead I'll take Kendrick who would take over our nickel back spot.

Instead of the IDL I would go with a wr or te  and I feel bell is the best available there.    We have an idl we drafted who's yet to play a game this year who most considered a round 2-3 guy in tufele due to our dl depth.  Picking just a depth guy isn't an ideal use of resources imo.

I see Wydermyer as more than decent, I think he could easily go in the early 20's, he just happened to slip in this mock. I considered that a steal atop the 2nd. As for the INT pick, I'd read that it was one of the weaker positions on the team which is why I felt it important to address that position.

A rookie te rarely performs to the expectations.   With the jags cap space and the number of potential starting te free agents I think it's more likely we go that route.

Jags ol has 3 free agents to be(Robinson, Norwell, cann) and a semi-underperformimg rt(Taylor).

Robinson has his replacement on the roster.   As for Norwell and cann we have a guy but I'm pretty sure a guy like kinnard is considered by some as a top 15 player.  I almost wanted drake Jackson cuz he seemed like a steal there but that would likely be overkill at edge that Early.

I mean, no offense to the Jaguars but I doubt they'll be contending next season so taking a guy atop the second round as good as Wydermyer is probably fine even if he doesn't do great right out of the gate.

As for the OL, fair points and I'll definitely consider that next time. I have seen Kinnard in the 1st but idk about top 15. I could see him sneaking into the back end but I have him as a solid early 2nd right now.
