Don't get me wrong, they are clear frontrunners in the division, but I don't see them as some 14-3 dominating team that everyone is making them out to be. Cowboys offense will keep them in striking distance I think this will be it as well. Depending on how Dak is feeling it could be a shootout. As a bucs fan im hoping for it to be a good game and come out on top with no injuries.
Deadpulse
I have this weird feeling the Bucs will start slow
onejayhawk
I'm going with the upset here. Dallas is not a good team, but it's a depth thing. Their front 22 is pretty decent. For a few games they should look good, until the wear and tear of an NFL season starts to show. The Chiefs showed last year how hard it is to just play it again. The Bucs have the same people but not the same team.
SteelKing728
Tom Brady throws 5 TDs. All to himself. Bucs win 35-3.
notthatbluestuff
I was stubbornly going Cowboys all summer, but I can't deny it anymore. Bucs will win and probably roll through the regular season at least.

Arians had prime David Johnson lol. The 2015 and 2016 seasons of an Arians offense are indicative of how he uses great receiving backs. Heck, call me crazy but Andre Ellington was pretty comparable to Gio Bernard as a receiving back. Arians' whole time with the Cards he featured running backs who could line up out wide in the passing game. The one exception, I guess, was CJ2K, who split time with David Johnson. Heck, Andre Ellington and John Carlson both started 12+ games in 2014 and both were used heavily in the passing game. Ellington was used as a receiver only as the starter for like half of 2017, and that season was a mess for the running game that resulted in us acquiring Adrian Peterson for half season and then letting him walk away while Arians retired. But yeah, based off of his time here, I'd always assumed Arians style RBs had to be really good in the passing game.

biggie.
I don't see any reason why TB loses this other than general randomness. They're the straight up better team, they're at home and Brady has only lost one season opener as the defending champ (which took a really crappy 4th quarter). Edited September 5, 2021 by biggie. TecmoSuperJoe
Why did Dallas get to open against the Buccaneers again? Because they're "Dallas"??? I don't remember a huge offseason hype machine surrounding the Cowboys.
Matts4313
Everyone bashing our defense has no clue what they are talking about. How do I know this? Because I am following our defense extremely close and even I have absolutely no clue what our defense will look like in 2021. There are about 10-12 new starters/heavy rotation and a new defensive staff. From wee 1 last year to week 1 this year we will have like ~3 people in their same roles/contribution levels. Absolutely clueless to if they will be a bottom 5 unit again or if they have a chance to be something respectable.

Dak might need to sit out this game. Their OL does not stack up against Vea and Suh by any stretch. And then Devin White is blitzing like a missile
