Agreed. All I need to know is if he can handle a snap. Because I want Tucker to stay on his historic pace, but I’ve felt for the last 3 years that Koch has been done… this season, he’s hit an all time low. He absolutely needs to be replaced at this point.

He has a ring already, it’s definitely time for him to move on and make the decision himself. On no other team is he a punter over the last few seasons IMO.

The hype train around Araiza is already running - and probably with some merit given his godly numbers punting. I expect he will be drafted quite early.

I agree that Koch is done, but are we willing to invest a 2/3rd round pick on a punter? We’ve had quite good success with specialist lately.

If Araiza could actually replicate what he's doing for SDSU in the NFL he would be worth that sort of pick because being able to frequently pin your opposition inside the 5 is a massive advantage to your defense.

Is he really going to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick? Man that seems high.

But lets not forget Koch himself was a 5th round pick. Not sure DeCosta would make that kind of play but if it's someone that's good and would translate... why not.

If we draft Araiza we could conceivably have the greatest of all time kicker AND punter playing together

Of course Spencer wants us to spend a 1st on Jordan Davis. 😂 Cause everyone who watched us this year knows the missing piece is a 2 Down run stuffer...

The Haloti Ngata comment is just the cherry on top. Last I checked Jordan Davis had 8 pressures on the season. Forget Haloti, he's not even in Vita Vea or Dontari Poe territory as a NT with pass rush upside.

Our draft should start out with two concrete moves-

1. Trade up for Ikem Ekwonu

followed by

2. Pick another Tackle, best one left on the board.

Harbaugh and D'Alessandris can decide who goes to LG and who gets first run at RT. I can't see any other option that makes us a better football team right away than that combo. We upgrade both RT and the interior, secure depth and insurance behind Stanley, and reestablish our offensive identity.

Icky was born to play OL in a Lamar Jackson offense.

Completely agree with the Ekwonu-move although he really seems to be shooting up draft boards lately. Seen him mocked as early as top 10.

Tackle in the 2nd is good move although I also like to add one of the dynamic safeties to our defense (Catalon, Battle etc) if possible.

A lot of things can happen between now and then, but yea his stock is certainly peaking atm. The bump up won't come cheap but I really feel like it's the way to go. He'd be a game changer in our offense.

Safety is interesting. I think we'll resign Elliot on a cheap 1 Year, Chuck is obviously one of the most important players on our team, and then you have that young trio of Stephens-Stone-Washington. While I think there's clear room for a high end FS on this roster, it might be hard for the FO to prioritize it in the 22' Draft. I think we'd be looking at a 4th investment at the earliest, and it's hard to find those dynamic guys in that range. I'm with you though. I really like those players, Catalon especially- just looks like a Raven when he plays. Would be so fun to drop him into this defense.

Agreed - especially in regards to Catalon. Let’s see where his stock ends up but could be a perfect playmaking addition to our secondary. Could be a perfect pick in round 2/3. I’m working with the assumption that Elliot leaves, but his injury might change that.
