Raiders waive LB Tanner Muse

Recommended Posts

Even if Muse clears waivers and makes it to the PS it is still very telling that a 3rd round pick can’t make the 53 after 2 off-season. We can blame Guenther all we want but at the end of the day Gruden and Mayock are in charge. We literally throw away 3rds every year

OK...

And right before that you said it was a really bad move and that they didn't have a plan for him when they drafted him.

I was referring that Gunther didn’t have a real plan for him. Technically they didn’t either they just drafted him for Gunther(assuming gunther had a plan)

Who do you think goes when Morrow is healthy

I’d guess he picks up an ‘injury’ and is put on IR. We don’t actually knowing Morrow will be back this season yet though.

Perryman tbh unless he really plays well. You’re not waiving Deablo cause unlike Muse he actually has talent and won’t make it through waivers.

Who is saying that?

the point about there being no such thing as a reach in the draft? i dont recall the name offhand but i had that exact argument thrown at me after/during last year's draft while i was ranting about some of our picks like Arnette and Muse

here was my rant about Muse after the draft

and the response i got calling into question whether there is even such thing as a "reach"

naturally the post defending the pick, and claiming that going into last year we had such good defensive talent that we literally could not have drafted a defensive starter at 100, and asserting that the concept of a reach is comical... is the post that got more likes at the time. but i'm sure now everybody will play monday morning QB and saying with hindsight that it was a bad pick.

i have no problem with drafting a guy with a good athletic profile with the hopes of changing his position to linebacker where he could have an edge. just do that crap in the later rounds. we already repeated the same mistake with Deablo. maybe Deablo pans out. i like him, and he was a better safety than Muse was in college. but the process is still bad.

I was more referring to recently but I get where you are coming from.
