TheRealMcCoy
So happy for Jordan. Amazing dude. He’s gonna tear it up this year.
CWood21
$16M/year is buying low now?
DeSean Jackson
Great deal before free agency, in the 10 games he showed he can be a star. Next year he would be getting over 20 mill if he hit FA. Only 24 years old very athletic and is 6’8 380 pounds. He’s a monster.

I don’t think it’s buying low necessarily right now, but I think Garafolo was saying if he makes the leap we think he is primed to make. Except elite LT money is $22M+, which only Trent Williams, Laremy Tunsil, and David Bakhtiari are making. Ronnie Stanley comes in 4th at $19.75M. I really don't see him exceeding $18M/year even with a huge year.
Jakuvious
I must be really out of date on league OT play, between this contract and the one Minnesota gave O'Neill.

Danger
This contract speaks more to his ceiling than anything else. I think the contract will be worth it, but yeah it looks suspect right now.

I think this contract looks much better in the coming years when Mailata comes into his own and the OT market inevitably gets much more expensive as the salary cap increases. RandyMossIsBoss
He played like an average at best starting LT in 2020, but he showed flashes of dominance. I don’t mind this deal, although clearly a gamble. 24 years old, still learning the game, athletic freak, and if he had a strong 2021 he’d cost a few mil/year more. Hoping his camp was great to inspire pulling trigger early on re-signing. For non-Eagles fans I’m sure this is big head scratcher and I don’t blame them. SkippyX
This is a stud LT picked in round 7 of the draft. Thanks, Howie.
Soko
Wonder how it’s structured. Seems more like a potential based signing, which is fine/becomes a bargain if that potential’s met (Gronk’s first deal, Tyron Smith, come to mind). Jeezla
Dallas Goedert's agent has to be shaking his head A lot of money for a guy who was "competing" for the starting gig 2 weeks ago, but it will probably look like a bargain a year from now. He's still only 24 years old. Pretty wild. His 4th year, not just in the NFL, but playing organized football. 7th round flyer who never played football to 64 million dollar franchise LT in 4 years. Turnobili
Could end up being the next Darren Waller deal. The raiders paid him after just a few games into his breakout year. Now he’s one of the best bargain contracts in the league. Edited September 11, 2021 by Turnobili
