Whicker
Motivation: Time to make a splash and show what our team can do. Personnel Changes: None, start of the season. Offensive Formations: Spreading Seoul way way out with traditional shotgun formations, playing a lot of 4WR sets this week. Will also be mixing in 3WR/TE and 5WR as well. Tempo: Playing a traditional tempo with lots of motion before the snap to help LJ see formations and reads. Playcalling Distribution: 60% pass and 40% run Run Scheme: our runs will focus on power running with a large amount of traps, counter traps, pulling sweeps, and pulling counter sweeps and read options. These plays are going to focus on the outside/ends from Seoul, which we view as a weak point for them. Both Floyd and Judon were poorly graded by pff last season, but when they did thrive it was from being unblocked a lot.. We feel they will have a too aggressive approach when seeing themselves run free and we will use that to our advantage. We are going to look to trap the crap out of them and make that aggressiveness work for us in the run game. We don't want to overwork Saquon Barkley in his first game back so the RB duties will be split about 50/50 between SB and Chase Edmonds, with CE being a bigger part of the passing game and SB getting more of the runs. Audibles: screens and slants will mostly be our check down plays to move out of poorly called pass plays or run plays. If LJ recognizes blitz pre-snap he will look to check into a screen/quick slant play. We will have a number of variations of the screens, even WR screens to Lamb and Godwin we will use. Passing: we are going to be playing a lot with 4 WR/RB sets this week to spread Seoul way out and let Godwin and Diggs work the middle of the field and give easy wide open targets to LJ. We will look to utilize slants, posts, and crossing routes layered to exploit our advantage in the Seoul-DB matchups. We have 4 star WR's so we will be looking for the advantagous matchups and target those a lot. Whoever is being covered by the weakest defender will be main target for the passing game. Our RB's will be used 50/50 in helping chip/block anything that gets through and faking that and slipping out to be a check down outlet or running a number of wheel routes. When we run the wheel routes we will clear out the one side of the field with crossing/slants moving everything to the opposite side of the field and Edmonds or Barley will be the primary target on the wheel route to the freed up side. Brown starting on the outside allows Godwn to shift to the slot. We will look to take deep shots to Brown and Diggs with Godwin and Lamb manning the underneath/safety routes. We will look to target Godwin a lot out of his slot position. With playing a speed out style offense, it will also help create large running lanes for LJ to escape the pocket and gain big yards on broken plays. Playaction and RPO's: these are going to be thrown in a good bit to take advantage of the spread out field. First play of the game: LJ comes out, in a 4WR set (Diggs, Brown, Godwin, and Lamb). This play is going to be a flea flicker deep bomb to one of the two WRs running go routes (Diggs and Brown) with Godwin and Lamb underneath for the check downs. Time to have fun boys!!! Defense Base Formation: playing a base Nickle defense this week with man heavy tendencies. Playstyle: going with nickle as our base D this week as we feel Seoul is going to look to be a more pass heavy team. We will use a higher percentage of man whether in nickel, dime or 4-3. We will look to disguise this by showing blitzes before the snap. Playing more man and disguising the look will hopefully throw off Matt Ryan and take away all of the short/quick/underneath plays. Run defense. We will be using our middle LB's to load up the box tight to the line on clear run plays. Runs blitzes will be heavy on big formations and early downs. We want to get penetration and blow up the plays before they get started. Passing Defense: we think if we take away the quick/underneath/short passing game from Ryan that we can win the game. So as much as we can, we will be showing blitz and fall back into man with bump and run coverage at the line on the outside and an underneath zone from the LB's when possible. Our DB's are up to the task of sticking with the WR's and allowing our D-line to get pressure on the QB. _____ e olokaa na manawa maikai Offense: 12 Man Personnel – 60% 50% - Run out of this formation 10% - Pass out of this formation 11 Man Personell - 40% 20% - Run out of this formation 20% - Pass out of this formation Offensive Gameplan: Seoul believes they can control the trenches in this game. Antonio Gibson and Javonte Williams will both receive 20+ carries, as we will be running the ball 70% of the time. We anticipate a lot of subpackages from Antartica, so we want to focus on hitting Gibson/Williams off the C & B gaps. With the 12 man personel we believe we can create some one on one opportunties for both backs to create chunk plays. Andrew Thomas gets the start at TE2, and will stay in Pass Pro on passing downs for this formation. Passing scheme out of the formation will consist of quick hitters to Kelce across the middle and slants from the outside, with a few sluggo’s thrown in during the 2nd half. 11 Man Personel - We have a 50/50 split between Gibson/Williams, they will both play the same regardless of personel. We have Russell Gage replacing TE2. This will be the formation we use between the 40’s. Same basic concepts, we still believe we can control this game through the C&B gaps running the football. We will be a little more balanced out of this formation though, passing scheme will still run off play action and focus on hitting the middle of the field. Defensive Gameplan: We’ll be running a standard 4/3 Under inside both 30’s. Between the 30’s we’ll rotate to a 4-2-5 Under, with Cameron Sutton sliding into the slot, and Billings coming off the field. 80 Anticipating a ton of 4 WR and bunch sets, we’ll be running predominantly Cover 3 and Cover 2 on the back end. CB alignment out of zone coverages will stay off a majoriy of the game, while coming up to jam on 3rd and short. Man coverage will be few and far between this game, will call a majority of Press Man inside the red zone. With a front 4 of Floyd – Myers – Reed – Judon in a subpackages we think we can get solid pressure without blitzing. We are going to sit back in zone and see if Tua and Lamar can carve us up with their reads. It will be a very vanilla defensive gameplan for Seoul, not going to send many blitzes and we’ll have no QB spies. Let the front 4 work, Simmons and Barnes get the start at LB to give us some athleticism in the middle of the field.
EaglesPeteC
Antarctica just has an overwhelmingly better roster. Hard to see Seoul winning this
VigilantZombie
Neither one of these defenses impress me tbh. But I think Antartica has enough weapons offensively to make the difference. 24-14 Antartica
Scoundrel
Seoul is going to get behind against this offense. Running the ball 70% of the time may help to keep Lamar and friends off the field but what about in catch up time? Then the 30% they are passing are quick slants and hitters to Kelce until the second half. Well you played into Antarctica’s game plan of taking away the underneath stuff and forcing Ryan to beat them deep. Antarctica wins.
bcb1213
Both these teams have their flaws. This should have been easier but Antartica thinking Seoul would be pass heavy for some reason allows the dragons to hang around in the first half churning out some first downs and running clock. Hopefully for Seoul Matt Ryan performance this week is more a new offense thing than age but I just don't think he does enough to win to keep them balanced here as Antartica can put up points (though the right side of that o line is rough to put it lightly) Antarctica 27-

We don't need to discuss Howard in hope lol
pheltzbahr
Have Antarctica pretty easily here, there has been a proliferation toward 4 WR sets and theirs is a really impressive group.
Ragnarok
Antarctica gets this one. Their OL is so very vastly improved from last season.
MD4L
I think Antartica is the better team on both sides of the ball. That WR group wins games when they can protect Lamar too.
rackcs
I'm not sure I get Seoul's strategy to stay with just 2 CBs on the field between the 30s when he acknowledges that Antarctica is going to use plenty of 4 WR looks. I do however like their idea of doing ball control and running a decent amount to keep Antarctica's offense off the field as much as possible. Ultimately I think Antarctica is going to have plenty of success in the passing game in this matchup anyways with a very talented group of receivers. Antarctica takes this one.
