Old Guy
After a **** show like that where nobody showed up to work the coach needs to send a message. They need to cut somebody and make an example out of them. Who are your candidates? Coaches included, but that would be a firing and show real panic if we did that. I have a feeling I know who everyone wants to pick, but he's not going anywhere until the end of the year.

Kevin King ... they shouldn't have even bothered bringing him back to begin with.

Matt and thee coaching staff, and Aaron and the rest of the roster need to take this humiliation as a wake up call and get to work. Adrian Amos said it best: "We can't let one game beat us twice. We have to go out there and make the corrections....I still have the utmost confidence in our defense."

God, I want so badly to believe these guys when they say stuff like this, but the first Niners blow out of the LaFleur era has beat them something like 4-5 more times now

Sasquatch
Something seems off with this team right now (above and beyond the obvious). I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's a disturbance in the force - a chemistry issue - that seems to be affecting the organization from top down. Maybe a hangover from the drama of last summer, but I'm just not seeing any cohesion, energy, unity, whatever. Yeah, they're saying all the right things to the media, but there's something in their eyes and demeanor that says something different. With our cap situation as it is, and the impending release of several core players next year, it seems as though this team's heart is conflicted. Regardless of what's causing this "disturbance", I'm hopeful they get it sorted soon. Very soon.

cannondale
Coaches and organizations don't react that way. Per MLF's presser "No one is gonna feel sorry for us, and we can't feel sorry for ourselves. Back to work."

Lots of characters.......but true tough built in character. I think the team will miss Williams he was a strong guy in the locker room and sidelines. Detroit will love him. Lets hoope a few guys can let their characters out this week and some unity can be had. Watching that team on the sidelines yesterday was pure defeat. Suddenly, other guys are wondering when they are going to get that extension too, Adams, Z. Smith. They lose to Detroit this thing could spiral out of control. I'd blame Gute if it does. As soon as he pulled that **** on draft day his *** should have been down the road for the highest bidder.

I mean… our QB has publicly said he’s getting the **** out after the season and just doesn’t wanna be here… I don’t find it surprising at all that there’s a distinct lack of a team mentality this year
vegas492
How do you cut players after this disaster? Our defensive guys looked lost in the scheme. Our o-line was young and inexperienced inside. And their head coach had his team totally prepped for what we were going to do on offense and defense. We were outcoached, plain and simple. I wouldn't cut anyone, but I'd put Barry and King on notice. King is the easy one to replace/bench with Stokes. Any warm body could do Barry's job. And to be fair, that same warm body would have coached and prepared the team as well as MLF did this last week. So let's give it a little time and see what happens.
