Dome
Dude is glass. Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport went for an MRI after suffering a pectoral injury in Sunday’s win over the Packers and a report on the results looks like fairly good news for New Orleans. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the MRI showed a pectoral strain rather than a tear. He will likely miss time as a result of the injury, but, per the report, is expected back in action sooner rather than later. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/09/13/report-marcus-davenport-to-miss-time-with-pectoral-strain/
tyler735
Unfortunately it appears to be going about how I thought it would in the offseason with our DE situation. Davenport continues to get hurt and Trey Hendrickson makes a big impact for the Bengals right away. Sucks we couldn't find a way to get Hendrickson signed. Hopefully Turner can ease the loss of Hendrickson a little bit. Edited September 13, 2021 by tyler735
ckoz24
Davenport looked good though. Hope we get him back.
SWATcha
Just saw this flash across my Saints news feed 🤦♂️ Dude just can't stay healthy. Hopefully Turner can step in and fill the gap until he gets back.
Mid Iowa
Davenport started out really good. Didn't he get a sack? Or at least a good QB hit? 2 hours ago, tyler735 said: ...and Trey Hendrickson makes a big impact for the Bengals right away. Sucks we couldn't find a way to get Hendrickson signed. Yeah, it sucks, but Hendrickson signed a 1 year $15mill deal. I'm not sure how we would compete with that. The rest of our D would suffer greatly, and we'd not have been able to trade for Roby if we'd have retained Hendrickson. I'm sure the Saints will dig deep and find an able body. So yeah, it sucks that Kwon's hurt again, at least we have coverage. D-End, on the other hand, we're not deep. We're the opposite of deep. We were thin before Davenport's injury. MookieMonstah
Its a shame because Davenport is actually a beast when he's healthy.
sammymvpknight
Armstead and Davenport are the same guy. Unbelievable when they play...but you have to just be content with ANYTHING that you get from them. They are like icing on the cake...they aren't the foundation. If you are relying on them to be a foundational building block...you're going to have a bad day.
