It really doesn't. Hitting on a late round athlete you developed NEVER offsets missing on a top 10 selection.

The John Lynch Niners would disagree with you there lol

There are their first two drafts

2017

1st Round pick #3-Solomon Thomas(for all the talk about how bad  Ferrell at #4 over Burns & Allen is how much different is Solomon Thomas at #3 over Mahomes(who went on to beat them in the SB & Watson). Imagine if we did that, would most people on this form be raider fans anymore?

1st Round pick #31-Rueben foster had questionable character that was even mentioned by Nick Saban who was his coach in college and rarely says anything bad about any of his players went out of his way to say he had maturity issues. They draft him and he is now a back up linebacker for Washington fighting for a roster spot after being out of the league for two years. We lose our minds on third round picks miss a year because they get hurt in a year in the off-season but what about when a first round pick is out of the league after the second year

3rd round pick #66-Ahkelio Witherspoon- I thought this was a pretty good draft pick but is he really better than Trevon Mullen or did he just play with 5 first round picks rushing the passer. Currently not on the team(and actually got traded a few weeks ago after being signed by the Seahawks this afternoon)

Round 3, Pick 104  QB CJ Beathard- Think about this one they went with a quarterback with a third round pick think about if we did that how angry would be. I know I would be pissed.

Round 4, Pick #121 RB Joe Williams- I bet you never heard of this guy but I remember he got picked over Marlon Mack. didnt play a down

Round 5, Pick #146  TE George Kittle- AMAZING DRAFT PICK. To be able to get an all pro top five draft pick in the fifth round is dope. But remember, we signed Darren Waller off of the practice field. Who is also an elite talent

Round 5, Pick #177 WR Trent Taylor-another guy you may never heard of unless you play fantasy football. Hasn't really done anything(one season with 200 yards in another season them with 400 yards) in the NFL who cares he's a fifth round pick.

Round 6, Pick #198 DL DJ Jones-currently the starting nose tackle I think which is good to get in the 6th round. But again if he really better than Jonathan Hankins are we just raider fans so we look at the two different

Round 6, Pick 202  LB Pita Taumoepenu-another guy that didn't make the roster but again who cares he's a fifth round pick

Round 7, Pick 229 DB Adrian Colbert-back up safety

2018

Round 1, Pick 9  OT Mike McGlinchey-what is touted as the best tackle in the draft but went on to be an average right tackle. Remember he was drafted ahead of Kolton Miller who is now considered one of the better LTs in the Game.

Round 2, Pick 44 WR Dante Pettis-most yards he's ever had in the season was 467 and right now it's currently not on an NFL roster. The reason why this was overlooked was because they went to the Super Bowl so who cares right?

Round 3, Pick 70  LB Fred Warner-this was a really good pick as we just saw last week that he got paid and has been a pro bowler/All pro the last two years

Round 3, Pick 95  DB Tarvarius Moore-he started 13 games in three years(including eight last year). Remember this is a third round pick

Round 4, Pick 128  DL Kentavius Street-has understandably started 2 games in his 2 years in the league and has no Sacks and one tackle for loss.

Round 5, Pick 142 DB DJ Reed-was on the team for two season starting two games before getting cut and going to the Seahawks

Round 6, Pick 184 SS Marcell Harris- back up strong safety

Round 7, Pick 240  WR Richie James- KR specialist

I’m gonna go against the grain here, and I’m sure I’ll get roasted. But koonce over Ferrell? Next week in Pittsburg? Activate both. Maybe Ferrell has a decent game y’all? It has happened before. Lol. And cle does give you more versatility (in case of injury?lol)  I personally put more blame for first half offense on not playing, I’m old school, sue me. Lol! I wanted lamb for sure, but damn, at least throw some balls his way before the 4th qtr. cussed abram for getting beat early ( but it was lamar) but overall he looked better. Only lber that might have had a chance to be in position against Watkins was Littleton....period. Maybe white when healthy. Lol! And for anybody putting blame on carr for the pick? Cmon man, A) if you can touch it(especially with BOTH hands!) and B) take some off of it? I thought it was huge he even got it off. Lol  hell I guess he shoulda had a cup o joe and just relaxed before he threw it? Again CMON MAN!!!! everything else has been covered plenty. Great win for the team, and raider Nation!  On a side note.... it would’ve been hard for me to not tell the Debbie downer fan to GTFO!!! I salute your patience bro!!

     I’d activate both — Koonce as a pass-rushing DE/LB and Ferrell as DT/run-stopping DE.

Certainly not trying to defend Ferrell, but I think he was inactive because we needed to activate Ragas.

Conspiracy theories could be thrown out for if they want to trade him or not, but I'd guess he'll be active next week if they're not as worried about Jacobs.  I also think we really could have used him in the 2nd half after Yannick got hurt.

I know him being sat is going to be the  final nail in the coffin for Ferrell. I might be the only one, but I’m a little surprised how much and quickly he has fallen. I actually thought he did pretty well for us last season. I was actually expecting him to play a role in this game! (Shows how much I know - lol).

I am not for one second defending the pick - but he looked like he was at least trending up last year and although it is now (and really always was) obvious that he was never going to be a pass rush threat, I thought looked to be developing into a solid run defender and that he projected well as a base end in Bradley’s D.

He must’ve been god awful all off season and made a very poor impression on Bradley.

Ferrell wasn’t listed on any injury report at all. Our DL played well, I think he was a healthy scratch. But who cares hopefully he’s ready to go next week.

He was on the injury report at the start of the week.
