Boys in our vacay home, @Chargers - Week 2 GDT

About the only thing  I can think of for how that end game went is McCarthy knew his kicker needed to be on the right hash... so the run to set up the kicker with faith that he will  make it...

The clock management was fine if thats the range Zueline was comfortable with. Which it clearly was as we did not attempt to gain any more yards even though we had time.

Nice win. GG. People will knock the time management at the end, but clearly McCarthy was more concerned about losing yards than kicking a 56 yarder.

And he was right.

He was right, but that was bad. Not sure how that can be argued

WHo cares what Z wants with like 25 seconds left....get closer. That's the management we're referring too. Z has not been reliable in this very short season obviously. I'd want to get it at the goal line before wanting him to kick.

One sack and the argument is really easy. Or a fumble. Or an INT.

Remember that time Romo threw a pick 6 (Redskins?) before half and fans bashed Garrett for 10 years? This is a similar situation, but we played it safe this time.

Right, and I am saying they thought/knew/felt they didnt need to get any closer and managed the game so as to not lose yards or possession.

Apply the same principal as if we were kicking a 30 yarder. The "I dont need any more yards because it doesnt change the difficulty of the kick" mindset. They believed they were in range. They were correct.
