DoleINGout
Figured it would be a good way to track fan observations on a weekly basis to see who they view as the best performers and worst each week of the NFL season. It would be interesting to see at the end of the season the names that were on every teams list throughout the year. If this takes off then I may compile an end of year tally for each team. Feel free to do just your favorite team or dabble with other teams depending on the game you watch. I think the idea is to make a top five and bottom five performers list of only the games you watch most of or in full. Week: Favorite Team: Up: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Down: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Mac Jones (QB) 2. Adrian Phillips (S) 3. Matthew Judon (LB) 4. Jonnu Smith (TE) 5. Nelson Agholor (WR) Explanation: Jones was the reason the offense was competitive, Phillips blanketed TE's and supported run stops, Judon caused havoc, Smith and Agholor provided a spark and were the most reliable skill guys. Down: 1. Justin Herron (RT) 2. Rhamondre Stevenson (RB) 3. Jonathan Jones (CB) 4. Dont'a Hightower (LB) 5. Deatrich Wise (DE) Explanation: Herron and Stevenson benched, Jones torched by Waddle, Hightower invisible, Wise poor against run. 43M
Week 1 Steelers Up 1. Cam Sutton - only week 1, but the dude was elite vs tge Bills. Several awesome PDs and tackles for loss. He gave up a TD, but it was an absolutely perfect pass from Allen. 2. Cam Heyward - disruptive all game. Heyward gets so overlooked. Love that dude. 3. TJ Watt - umm....duh.... 4. Melvin Ingram - such an amazing addition. Perfect fit as a rotational and situational player. 5. Mike Tomlin - for all his faults, he has this team playing its best when the odds are stacked against them. Down 1. RT Chuks Okafor - it...wasnt pretty. Not really suited to play RT. We need Zack Banner back. 2. O Line cohesion - the OLine wasnt good as a whole, but its more due to lack of chemistry. 3. Ben - he played better in the 2nd half, and its not all on him (playcalling and OL were meh), but if he cant start completing passes downfield, teams will keep stacking the box. 4. Injuries suck 5. Most game commentators suck
43M
Sorry if you just wanted players, but there really werent any notable negative individual player performances on Sunday for the Steelers besides Chuks at RT.

It's fine, as long as it is in the spirit of the thread. Try to think of it is as a "trending up or down", not always the "five good and bad". Alex Highsmith is....and he is coming along nicely, too. I really hope we can keep Ingram for a couple more years after 2021.

MWil23
The Browns: 1. Malik McDowell: Great game, looks legit as a DT, and the Browns may have gotten a steal after his disastrous off the field introduction to the NFL a few years ago. He's slated to start this week 2. The Browns running game minus a fumble by Chubb 3. Baker Mayfield's efficiency and vertical passing game, minus the last throw of the game 4. David Njoku's downfield ability combined with his blocking ability. He's going to either get locked up long term by the Browns or command a nice deal in free agency if he continues this pace

diamondbull424
Up 1. Odafe Oweh- the man without the sack just had two half sacks in this contest. He was wrecking havoc and his run defense is legit. Legit DROY candidate if he keeps this up. 2. Justin Houston- felt like he was consistently making his presence felt off the edge as a pass rusher. Outside of the play where Humphrey let up on the man that Houston couldn’t get the angle on (why put him in coverage on a pivotal down when he was that effective rushing all night), I can’t think of anything negative. Definite upgrade for our OLB spot. 3. Marlon Humphrey- He was all over the field. Covering Waller at TE, covering Renfrow at slot, and mixing in with the other WRs as needed. He did however pull up on a tackle late game that had he not could’ve kept the Raiders from getting a first down and big play. Which is why I don’t have him higher. 4. Lamar Jackson- two costly fumbles, sure. But when he wasn’t running for his life, he was completing accurate passes. The offense went as he went. 5. Sammy Watkins- delivered a definite upgrade to our #2 WR role. Has the explosiveness and precision needed to be a reliable target all season for as long as he can stay healthy. With minimal practice time he already has a developing connection with Lamar that should hopefully get stronger as the season progresses. Down 1. Alejandro Villanueva - Was an absolute scrub in that first game. He did not look at all comfortable or of quality in pass pro and was only marginally more productive in run blocking. His length was neutralized continuously by leverage. Complete turnstile showing. We’ll see if he looks better at LT. 2. Tyree Phillips- Prior to the IR, he was proving last years terrible rookie campaign meant he was a bust. He went down and his backup was a legitimate improvement. 3. Ronnie Stanley- Dude was nearly as bad as the above two, which is saying something, he clearly was not healthy. (big gap) 4. Mark Andrews- He didn’t play terrible, but he also was nearly invisible after signing his contract and being one of the teams playmakers. His drop late in the game also was a back breaker that was probably the difference. 5. Tavon Young- Was getting picked on at times. He wasn’t terrible as he was step for step FTMP, but you can tell it’s been a couple years since he’s been in a real contest.
