SirA1
Gotham Gashslayers OFFENSE (65% Pass 35% Run) - 3 WR/TE/RB Base Passing Game - A more traditional base look this week, again we are going to focus on moving the ball through the air against the weaker part of the Jazz’ defense. We dont think the NO DBs match well with our WRs and dont mind targeting any while against man. We will use Tyreek in motion to get the Jizz to tip their hand on coverage. Going to operate out of shotgun more than usual to give Wentz a better look at the defense and buy him a second more in the pocket as we will target the intermediate and deep areas often to exploit weaker players and stretch out their D (No Homo). Running Game - Going to use a committee of Davis, Mitchell and Drake this week to keep our backfield fresh and try and wear out a really good NO D Line. Lots of off tackle stuff to Watt’s side to see if the old man can still run down the line; counters back to Bosa’s side to play off his aggressive pursuit and generally smash the middle hoping to pay late dividends. DEFENSE - 4-2-5 Cover 2 Nickel I think the success or failure of our defense against Allen and Co. is going to come from our pass defense this week. The best way we can help our secondary is to put pressure on Josh and we feel we can do this against NO’s Oline, the OTs in particular. We think we can get sustained pressure rushing 4 in this contest and will rarely blitz outside of 3rd and long situations. With our LBs and Safeties staying home, this should limit the effectiveness of their RBs to rip off larger gains while doling out punishment. We will switch things up and play a majority of zone in this game. Allen does most of his damage on deep throws from the pocket and with his legs escaping the pocket. With 2 safeties deep, we feel our guys can make plays on the ball and limit completions deep. With our DBs not having to turn and run with their WRs and facing the line of scrimmage, we can keep an eye on Allen, keeping him in check when he decides to tuck and run as well. New Orleans Jazz Fresh off a comfortable win against one of our divisional rivals, we are not going to be looking ahead past Gotham this week despite coming into this match off a heavy defeat and suffering several injuries. While they’ll be looking to rally as underdogs, we’re always primed for our home openers and this one in uh… Jacksonville? will be special, especially having fans back in the BDL for the first time in over a year. Offense (55/45 Run/Pass): 40% of snaps - 1RB – 4WR / 3 WR & OW 35% of snaps – 1RB – 3WR/OW – 1TE 25% of snaps – RB/OW – 1TE – 3WR (no huddle) Running Game: Gotham come into this match with a severely beat up defensive interior and linebacking group. So our plan is to run it down their throats and take advantage of this. While a 4 wide set-up isn’t traditionally considered a running formation, this is a preferable look for us in this matchup as it will force Gotham into 6 man boxes and put extra stress on their defensive line to win their individual matches. However, with Gotham only fielding 3 healthy defensive interior players and our interior offensive line being one of the strongest in the BDL, we’re going to leverage this and run the ball up the middle early and often using both Carson and Gordon. To add to this, we’re going to dial up a number of QB draws for Allen and plenty of no-huddle runs, especially on third and short to keep the gassed interior on the field and let him pick up chunks moving the pile. We’re also going to go with a large amount of no huddle featuring Deebo Samuel at RB. His ability as a runner out of the backfield offers us a great amount of versatility in pre-snap motioning, allowing us to get creative and also offer the opportunity to exploit certain defenders. The plan here in particular is to try and catch Gotham out as they’ll need to constantly substitute and leave them with the choice of playing an extra LB who will then need to cover Samuel or an extra DB, and leave them exposed against either Allen or Samuel as a runner. Passing Game: The passing game this week will be about risk-mitigation, execution and supplementing the running game. Moore will act primarily as our deep threat this week given his game breaking speed and ability to demand double coverage deep. This will hopefully open things up for Hopkins, who we suspect will receive a 1 on 1 assignment with Xavien Howard. Despite Howard being one of the best CBs in the league, you don’t shut Nuk down and he’ll get his 10 or so target this match. Moore while primarily being the deep threat should receive a few shots, either on verticals or deep crossers and even if he can come down with 2 or 3 balls, that will be a good return for his role. The passing game for the most part will move through Beasley and Samuel, with Allen being given the direction to step up in the pocket and try and find one of these two getting open in the short-intermediate game and letting them pick up yardage after the catch. Cook and Gesicki will also get a few looks, but will come in as in-line tight ends with assignments often involving chipping Shaq Barrett and then running a curl or flat as Allen’s 4th or 5th option. Defense: Defensive Front: We must admit we’re not sure what direction Gotham is going to go in with regards to the QB position, but in any case, we’ll be ready for a passing attack that features a few good weapons. While the loss of Jacobs is also unfortunate, Gotham also has a committee of guys at RB who have had success in the past. Although they aren’t the primary threat, we won’t overlook them. However the name of the game here is to avoid the splash plays deep from Tyreek and co. As usual, we’ll continue to rotate on the defensive line to keep everyone fresh – no one player will play more than 75% snaps on the DL and with talented blitzers like Adams and Johnson available, we’ll get creative with kicking guys inside and moving pieces around. Adams will reprise his role as a joker of sorts, playing nearer the LOS and blitzing fairly often, while Johnson will perform in a more traditional linebacker role shared with KJ Wright on a 50/50 basis. Coverage: This week will see more of a cover 2-man look incorporated as we look to prevent the big plays to Tyreek Hill. Bradberry – Higgins J.C. Jackson – Hill Adoree Jackson – Landry Johnson/Wright – Tight-end Amos/Landry (if not blitzing) - RB With Hyde and the non-man safety dropping deeper to prevent the big play, with particular attention to be paid to Hill and supporting JC Jackson. Coming off good performances, we’re comfortable to leave Bradberry and Jackson in 1 on 1 matchups as no one has ever lost a game letting Jarvis Landry get like 10 of his 7 yard slants or Tee Higgins getting whatever he gets. WFLukic
If Adams is blitzing, then Amos will cover the RB and it will be more of a cover 1 look. If Adams isn't blitzing, then Amos will be a safety in the cover 2 and Adams will have the RB...

Blue
That Jazz offense is nasty and the defense is pretty good too. I don't think a very underwhelming Gotham offensive backfield and short-handed defense is going to cut it here.
Jlash
Gotham preparing to attack heavy against the pass and the Jazz coming out hot running the ball is going to keep Gotham off balance early and get them behind. I like the Jazz db's more than Gotham does apparently, and I think they contain the Gash Pass well enough. Hill will get his, but the Jazz roster is superior and the game plan is really solid to me. SirA1
Gotham is sadly a about to have the biscuit wheels fall off the Gravy Train with all their injuries on O. I think the Jazz do enough this week at home to get a close win. 35 -
Scoundrel
The Jizz are just too much for the gashies to handle. With that receiving group Tyson Campbell is getting cooked
