candyman93
Don’t care how great a defense is. Tackling Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt for 4 quarters is going to cause you to make business decisions. He doesn't separate like he used to so it's wasted time and can lead to sacks. I'm not saying he should never be the 1st read but early on it seemed like he was 80% of the time and that is way too often. In the end, there are those that believe the OBJ narrative and those that do not. I think things are a bit more complex and nuanced than he's not getting open anymore, especially when one considers last year and even the 1st half of this game in that he's been double covered at least 3 times while others have been the primary read. The Bears much like other teams have decided to double OBJ and spend other defensive resources stopping the run thereby challenging the Browns other playmakers to beat them. Effectively recognizing the double coverage pre/post-snap and/or quickly getting to the 2nd and 3rd progression post snap should flow naturally for a top QB. It also opens up passing to other playmakers. Jarvis being out matters more as does the OLine play; lack of rushing success in early downs; offensive communication; missed throws; and play calling/design issues are the meaningful reasons for the Browns offensive struggles today. Not the OBJ attention narrative imo.
brownie man
Field’s definitely isn’t being decisive. play calling is giving him no help either
Empire Lies
This is the first game when the pass rushers are rushing at different levels. The DEs aren't just running the arc. Some have short lane inside rushes while varying arc running. Mixing that with differing inside pressure variations have made a difference with this poor Bears OLine. Nagy running all the wrong play calls on deep routes when the rush is on.
