They are comparable to the guys they replaced which everyone wanted to re-sign and keep despite having less playing time and they’ve both been better than Baker & RJF this year. • 22 tackles for McGee in 9 games • 19 tackles and 2 sacks for McClain in 9 games and that’s with being part of a rotation, not getting 30 some snaps or 40 snaps every game. • Baker last year has 20 tackles and zero sacks this year and is getting paid $6 million. He played a majority of snaps last year and had 47 tackles and 3.5 sacks. • RJF was worse than both McClain and McGee last year (32 tackles, 1.5 sacks) and is worse than them this year (3 tackles). He would have gotten paid $4 million by us this year if he was retained. He was such a disappointment because I expected him to become a starter and replace the production that we lost from Hatcher retiring but he didn’t.
