indifference
OL looks garbage
onejayhawk
Was it so ugly no one watched? From the stats it looks like they let the OL eat a bit. Clyde got 100 yards and the team had 200 on the ground. Hill had another huge game, but everyone and his dog caught a pass. Defensively, still not good. If I understand this correctly, Mahomes becomes only the 4th QB in the last 50 years to get 3+ TD each of first four games. HolmesPriest
I was at work so didnt get to comment on the thread lol. Just wish our defense would get their stuff together. We got a big game coming up next week.
HolmesPriest
I also noticed there were like 27 rushing plays called and 30 passing plays called, very balanced. If we can keep up the rushing attack, our offense could be unstoppable.
onejayhawk
I counted at least three passes behind the line of scrimmage, two for TDs, so they are the running plays of this offense. Hill's 3 TD moved him into 4th, tied with Kelce, on the team record book with 51 career receiving TD. He also has 6 rushing TD and 5 on ST. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/03/kansas-city-chiefs-tyreek-hill-tied-fourth-most-receiving-touchdowns-franchise-history/ J Edited October 4, 2021 by onejayhawk

Sidenote: I see a lot of flack for those plays in general but I've watch many other teams attempt those and they get blown up everytime.

So, it gameplans as a rushing attempt. 1 minute ago, mayanfootball said: How so? I see only 1 sack in the box score. And 200 yards on the ground. Not quite a handoff, more like a delayed handoff. Gets certain pundits all flustered that mahomes is padding stats but i love it. Great win, was really hoping the defense could hold it under 30 but whatever i wont hold it too much against them
onejayhawk
Interesting. No punts, either team. Only #5 ever.https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/10/03/eagles-chiefs-had-fifth-zero-punt-game-in-nfl-history/

On the stat sheet, yes, but for game planning purposes anything behind the OL is a run. For example, a shovel develops and executes as a run play, just that the pitch happens to be forward.
