Ruggs becoming the monster he was suppose to become. Finally we get a good receiving core, “decent” defense for the first time in ten years (farrrr from great still) and then goodbye Offensive Line!

Maybe Richie comes back and we bench James for Martin? Martin is not bad honestly. Pretty average player. A lot better than James.

I'm telling you if we just get average center play and richie back, the OL can be respectable.

I'm not alltogether bummed. The team fought hard in the 3rd/4th. Gruden has to understand that this is a pass 1st offense RN and you can't leave leatherwood on an island against justin houston/tj watt/joey bosa as a rookie.

Mack next week too

Joey Bosa on Carr: "We knew once we hit him a few times, he really gets shook. And you saw on (Covington's) sack, he was pretty much curling into a ball before we even got back there. Great dude, great player...but we know once you get pressure on him, he kind of shuts down."

Because cable is a bum the only reason our line was good because we actually had probowl talent on it. Every lineman drafted for Cable sucks.

That's what it looked like

This has been obvious for years. Get consistent pressure and he does indeed kind of panic/shut down the rest of the game, even if pressure isn’t coming anymore. Not hating, just the truth. Carr’s been pretty good lately, but that is a major flaw you have to live with if you want him as your QB.

Kind of hard to make plays happen when 4 of our starters on the OL are trash.  Bosa is just talking smack.  You get to talk trash like this when you win.  Just hope we end up with the last laugh.

The Legend

Hunter Renfrow. Definitely getting a Renfrow jersey now 😀 That play on the fake punt was awesome, absolutely brilliant awareness and great hit and tackle. Legend.

The Good

We went down but our heads didn't drop and we came back at them with guts. Couldn't quite pull the Houdini escape off but I like the spirit and fight in this team.

CBs were good after we went down a few players. Hayward is just class and Robertson looked decent given a very difficult matchup. He deserves a shot on the outside in front of Arnette clearly.

Moehrig looks like he reads the game well, looks like a long term safety solution to me and made a few good open field tackles.

DL got a decent amount of pressure and Philon was very good again.

The Bad

Leatherwood really struggled again. We know he's going to get beat now and then but he must cut out the penalties on top, that's just killing drives.

Interior OL just struggled to open anything up in the run game, every Chargers blitz seemed to just flood through open holes, not sure it's on them but we don't seem to pick any blitzes up.

Running up the gut for 1 yard gain or no gain is just demoralising against a poor rush defence. We're a run first team apparently but we can't run for toffee. It's not like we all foresaw potential issues on the OL 😤

Carr's miss on the long Ruggs throw. I though Carr brought us back well but that was a crucial miss, he was flushed and no on an ideal position but that would have been 6 if he hit him. I won't be too harsh as anything good we did on O came directly from Carr but that could have been a game changer.

Jacobs looks hampered, slow and not explosive. It doesn't help with the OL struggling but having zero run game really limited us.

The Ugly

That first half was ugly all round and that shot to the head of Snead was just a cheap shot on a defenceless receiver. Pretty cowardly.

Waller's penalty he just has to be smarter too, takes away any momentum especially as we were really struggling. We had a couple badly timed odd penalties. Football is a game of momentum and those penalties sapped that.
