QBs in the 2022 Draft

This thread likely exists in some form, but thought it'd be good to
start it again. Who do you like most?

For me, it's C.Strong, Nevada. Prototypical pocket passer.
He's got a big, accurate arm. Great ball placement and zips it all over the field.
He runs an offense that's sophisticated or at least relative.
Downsides? Knee injury in past. He's not very mobile.
More Stafford than Wilson, but he's my pick (right now) in this draft.
He's also got a helluva receiving partner (Doubs).

Not my evaluations but I totally trust this poster ( on another site).  it is sorted by height because we were talking about it.

Quote

Cole Kelley 6061 260
Cam Newton, if Cam had gotten kicked out of Auburn, ended up getting his **** together with a great offensive-minded coach, and if he had young Ben's intermediate arm.

Tyler Shough 6046 221
Daniel Jones with a touch of Nathan Peterman

Jeff Undercuffler 6042 231
Looks like Marino throws like late-stage Peyton Manning

Phil Jurkovec 6041 226
Jeff Undercuffler if he played at ND & BC.

Aqeel Glass 6036 215
David Gerrard

Des Ridder 6026 215
Byron Leftwich

Grayson McCall 6026 200
Justin Herbert with good, not great arm strength.

Carson Strong 6025 215
Mason Rudolph with better pocket presence.

Will Levis 6021 232
Taysom Hill with college Brett Favre's arm/head.

Kedon Slovis 6021 200
Andy Dalton with a little less arm strength.

Kenny Pickett 6016 220
UCLA Tommy Maddox

Eric Schmid 6010 180
Duck Hodges

Kaleb Eleby 6010 215
Gardner Minshew

Bailey Zappe 6010 215
Colt McCoy

Dorian Thompson-Robinson 6006 200
Joe Webb

Tanner Morgan 6015 215
Steve Bono

Sam Howell 6006 225
Baker Mayfield's younger and slightly less-talented brother

Malik Willis 6005 215
If Randall Cunningham went through a trash compactor.

Matt Corral 6005 205
Johnny Manziel with a good life coach and better judgment.

Spencer Rattler 6002 205
Discount Patrick Mahomes, with more propensity for mistakes, and less propensity to overcome them.

Jake Haener 6002 195
Straight up Jim McMahon

Eric Barriere 5112 200
Slightly bigger Kyler Murray

You may have heard me mention Cole Kelly, who is my man crush for the draft.  The poster thought Barriere could be the best QB in the draft.

So, what happened to him at Arkansas, and why is he playing in the FCS now? Highlights look good, and he certainly looks the part. Not a lot of buzz for this guy that I can find.

Won the Walter Payton award last year.  He totally looks like a young Big Ben.

For those of you that have not seen Eric Barriere. Watch how accurate he is on the move

Not sure I get this comparison. I won't act like I watch a ton of college football outside of big games and Im a little young to remember college Byron -- but Ridder has more rushing yards in 1 game than Leftwhich had in 5 years of college. Far more mobile, bit less accurate than Lefty.

If this comparison was true, gimme. The core issue with Mason all stems down to his pocket presence, which is more instinct than a learned skill.

I think it has more to do with his arm strength and slow wind-up.

I find the little comparisons entertaining, but not sure I buy the accuracy. I think Ridder is more like Jason Campbell.
I think C.Strong's basement may be Mason with better presence (and Mason was very good in college), but I think his ceiling is more M.Stafford - like.
A stronger and more accurate arm than Mason.

I would also say S.Rattler should stay in school. He's a real talent, having a bit of trouble. I think he'd be foolish to come out this season.
He should stay, work on his flaws. Kid has a special arm and although he seems a bit of a diva (from his days at THE 11) he'll come good with more time.
