The Cowboys have spent an astonishing amount of draft capital on the ILB position, so it might have just been a numbers thing in addition to the issue with injuries and the way his contract is structured. If we are only going to have him rush the passer and play the run it might be an ok signing (although he has had issue run gap filling).
