I hope your "context" (emotions) werent hurt in this conversation. We all know that "context" (emotions) is the basis of all empirical data. Just ask a flat earther, anti vaxer, etc. They can provide just as much "context" as you did in this convo. Buc Ball
25 minutes ago, Matts4313 said: Its irrelevant. Why can you not understand that its simple math? It doent matter if a soccer game sells out in 15 seconds and it takes an NFL game 15 days. The bottom line is, when the games are played, people will be in seats. You keep trying to compare it to other very highly popular sports. *IT DOESNT NEED TO*. It just needs to find 60k people 8x's a year that will fill the stadium. The rest of the logistics will work itself out and the revenue will be there simply due to broadcasting. ------------------------------------------------------------ Another thing you guys are missing - because you keep looking at it as a sport and not a product from a business - is scalability. The more the NFL is in Europe, the cheaper it becomes on a per game basis. What evidence is there that the NFL could fill a 60k seater stadium in London 8 times in 18 weeks? You talk about “scalability” (presumably you’re just playing buzzword bingo), what relevance does it being cheaper on a per game basis have when you’re asking for people to pay significantly more than they ever have? Do I get discounts on train tickets or flights? Nope. Does the cost of hanging about London for the day decrease? Nah. Does the annoyance of getting to the most difficult stadium to travel to in London subside? No. We’re not far removed from the NFL struggling to shift four game packages for international series games, but they’d somehow be able to sell enough STs and single game tickets for 8 sellouts. The data says there’s no chance.

The Jags have a better record of selling out in London than they due in Jacksonville (joke, kinda). Quote You talk about “scalability” (presumably you’re just playing buzzword bingo)] Its not a buzzword, its a legit term. Quote , what relevance does it being cheaper on a per game basis have when you’re asking for people to pay significantly more than they ever have? Do I get discounts on train tickets or flights? Nope. Does the cost of hanging about London for the day decrease? Nah. Does the annoyance of getting to the most difficult stadium to travel to in London subside? No. It has to do with profit maximization. And to be completely honest, if you are worried about the cost of hanging out a day in London, you are too cheap or not in a financial state that the NFL needs to cater to you. End of the day - most of that stuff is not the NFLs problem. Customers are a commodity in this scenario. Much like Apple doesnt care if you buy the new iphone, they know the next guy will. Why are you so rude? Like shut up already. Your points are poor and you're consistently condescending. You happen to be dead wrong and unable to separate your generalizations from reality, but that's really beside the point. Is this how you talk to people in your personal life?

To be fair - I was hazing him as well and my feelings arent hurt. I can take it just as I dish it. Besides, he clearly has a very anti-American viewpoint by the multiple comments about our education system, flag waiving, etc. Its pretty difficult to change a bigoted opinion once it is formed. You guys arent bringing anything to the table besides how you feel^^ - The NFL haven’t sold out 14 years worth of games, as your own sources show. - It’s a meaningless buzzword used in the context you used it. - If the NFL isn’t catering for people in my financial bracket or below, they’re in serious trouble if they want to hit 60k attendance for 8 games. They’d also be demonstrating that they don’t understand the elasticity of demand for their product in the UK. - All my data can be easily found at the other side of a quick Google search (other search engines are available). I’d link it if I thought you were intelligent enough to understand it fully. - I’m bringing relevant experience/ expertise to the table based on my 9-5. Outside of some sources you’ve continually misquoted, what are you bringing?
