Jennings is a good hire with tons of experience at places like TCU, Texas and Arkansas. Ask him about any UT coach in the Strong era, he'll probably crap on all of them. Not too worried about DB recruiting, Gibbs does most of that for us and that's 1 position where we have a ton of depth and returning experience. We'll land our 3*'s as we always do regardless of who is the DB coach... What I am worried about is him locking down Jacoby Simpson who we offered today. Ask him about any UT coach in the Strong era, he'll probably crap on all of them. Hardly. Joe Wickline, Jeff Traylor, Matt Maddox, Sterlin Gilbert, Chris Vaughn...all really good coaches. Clay Jennings is trash. His players hated him, he couldn't recruit for ---- and his secondary, his corners to be more specific regressed significantly under him, only to coincidentally enough, have bounce back years after he left, most of which have positioned themselves to get drafted this year, or next. This is the same group who a year, Clay Jenningless, year later, held every single Big 12 team before their season average in yards, yards per play and points. There's not a more telling example of the suck that is Clay Jennings than watching his secondary get torched repeatedly a middle of the road Cal team. Give a watch.
