Week 6: VIKINGS (2-3) at Panthers (3-2)

big test for our struggling offense vs. carolina's defense, who has been one of the best in the league so far. interesting tidbit: they allow the least yards per drive, least plays and TOP per drive, force the 4th most 3-and-outs. it's even more impressive since their defense has one of the worst average starting field positions. their one glaring weakness? red zone defense, where they are near the bottom of the league in terms of TDs and overall points allowed per red zone trip.

could be an ugly game to watch overall since both teams are in the top 5 for third down defense and have struggling offenses. hopefully jefferson and thielen are good to go, some deep shots would go a long way since it'll likely be difficult to sustain drives.

Playing the worst pass blocking team in the NFL this year.

Wow, well the Vikings are not much better and the Lions would be much higher but obviously have some major injuries in that lineup at center and LT.  Surprised Washington is that high, especially Green Bay with two rookies starting and Runyan another young guy in there, but guess that is what happens when you have proper coaching at the position, the guys who are solid players do succeed.  Helps having a QB like they do teams fear not to mention a good run game, receivers and tight ends.

Darrisaw is starting apparently.  Hopefully he's better than hill right off the bat

I can't see how he won't be better, overall, than Hill has been.  Darrisaw DOES still make rookie mistakes, but, some of them get covered up by teammates, and his big body and athletic ability makes up for others.  So, maybe he'll be a liability that hurts the team on 20% of the plays, or so.  Whereas, Hill is a liability on almost every play.

I think we pull this one out on our way to a 9-8 or 10-7 season. Zimmer and Spielman keep their jobs, Cousins gets extended, and the negative Nancys’ collective heads explode.

SKOL SKOL SKOL!!!

A likely scenario.  I think that 8-9, 9-8, and 10-7 are the 3 most likely scenarios, and think The Vikings' rush will ruin The Panthers' passing game, and eek out a hard-fought win, with the run defence tightening up a bit further, and a couple timely scores by the offence.  It won't be super impressive.  But, a win is a win.
