Everybody agrees that no matter what sports media does, we're gonna keep calling it the Red Zone, and not the Red Area, right?

"Red Area" is what you get after a drunken bachelor party weekend that requires a walk of shame into the free clinic for a round of antibiotics. It's not a football term.

As soon as you have a hand inside the collar and pull down, it's a flag. That's it. Anything that happens after that it irrelevant.
