Honestly it's hard to take any of you guys pounding the table that BB shouldve gone for it on 4th down seriously when whenever a 4th down comes up, even a 4th and not short earlier this game, most of the same people say go for it. If you guys made these calls the Patriots would lose by 20 every week lol

Going for it on 4th and 1 earlier and 4th and 3 in OT when we all knew Dallas would easily drive down the field isn’t exactly hot take city.

We're consistently losing games due to overly cautious playcalling. Show some guts here and there.

So instead of losing 20 we lose by 6, makes all difference I suppose...

Not that they need to go full madden every game but that was a key 4th down. Or do you disagree?

what's more likely? getting stopped on 4th and 3 on your side of the field and cowboys getting 20 yards and scoring... or trying to pin them and get the ball back and need 20-30 yards yourself?

"you have to have faith in mac" doesn't matter when the refs blew a call on the previous play. it's not always about mac himself.

4th downs conversion are not likely, but neither was getting a 3 and out from the Cowboys.

It is so confusing reading post here. Half the post are Mac has no weapons and the other half are air out. If the Cowboys would have lost for the next week at least people would have talked about the stupid decision the Cowboys made on their first possession to go for it on 4th and less than a yard.

The thing is it's hard to argue for pass interference on an uncatchable pass.

I agree with this to a point. I would add personnel used is a major factor.

Why not JJ Taylor Boldin a freaking joke. What about TE's.     I know some will say Boldin does this and that better, but that bull. If that the case why keep taylor at all. They could of had Sony in his spot.  Some will say he was traded for different reasons., but I would of kept him and let him go like they did with Gilmore , for nothing

And in fairness, nobody here says go for it every week or every 4th down, but when you’re playing an elite offense that is stuttering to get into rhythm, you have to try and keep them off the field as long as you can and build as much of a lead as you can before they start to click.

BB coached that game like it was a defensive slugfest and his D had the Cowboys number, but the truth is the Cowboys O was consistently sabotaging itself and was going to score at their leisure when they finally got their heads right.

It wasn’t just not going for it on fourth I objected to either, there was no effort to challenge the very obvious bad spot, or line up and try and get the D to jump. It was unimaginative and very conservative coaching.
