Week 6 TNF GDT: Tampa Bay @ Philadelphia

Tampa hasn't put together a complete game in primetime in the Brady/Arians era (with the notable exception of the Superbowl), so could easily see them having a bad quarter/half. Maybe some dumb penalties. But still expect them to win 28-22. If the offense plays like it did against Miami it will not be close, but it will be fun.

yeah, they are a really undisciplined for whatever reason.

Keys to victory for PHI:

- throw on first down

- throw on second down

- thrown third down

- Implement plenty of screen passes

- attack the middle of the field

- get pressure up the middle

Keys to victory for TB

- don't screw up

We’ve never been good on prime time, like ever, so no reason to expect that will change.

A “more uncomfortable than it should be” one score win for the Bucs is the most likely outcome here.

Context is key here, though:

-2020's results were heavily influenced by the adjustments TB12 had to make to the Arians' O.   If ppl recall, Tampa's O was significantly reworked to incorporate more crossing patterns and RB safety valves, key elements of TB12's O in NE.   This didn't really take full effect until after the bye.

-DAL's game was a -4 TO game.    The O was firing, but the TO's killed them.

-NE's game was in a pouring rainstorm.   AB lost a TD / dropped same TD in the lights on 1 drive, and TB12 overthrew wide open guys 3-4x on 3rd down because of the wet ball.

All of the above says that in good weather, with their O (and especially with Antonio Brown healthy now, and Fournette/Gio giving TB12 his version of James White), I would not expect to see an underperformance from TAM's O.   The D is a different story, but Hurts' IRL struggles, and the OL issues, I still feel comfortable with the 35-24 type call made earlier.   And yes, I do love the over here (but that's for the Bets Thread lol).

PHI's pass rush is good enough against most teams, a +2 TO outcome could certainly happen, just harder to predict vs. TAM's excellent OL.    Still, the TAM D is going to be more vulnerable to the pass this week with both David & Winfield Jr. out.     But when it comes to TAM's O underperforming in prime time - keep in mind we're seeing a VERY different TAM O than in 2020.

What to watch the Kraken game or tonights football game

Kraken for the first period.

after 1, switch over to the nfl game. See that TB is winning by 2 scores. Watch a drive or two. Put back on hockey. After 2nd period, turn on the nfl game and see that its already out of reach
