onejayhawk
Starting 2-3 was not what we expected, much less what we hoped. HC talked to the press about that and possible changes.https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2021/10/11/22721183/andy-reid-roundup-4-takeaways-from-the-chiefs-head-coach Clyde Edwards-Hellaire was placed on IR for an MCL injury. Expect to see a lot of Jerick McKinnon. The team also re-signed Elijah McGuire activated Derrick Gore from PS.https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/chiefs_rb_clyde_edwards_helaire_placed_on_ir_with_mcl_sprain/s1_13132_36122189 Even with the problems, the Chiefs are a TD favorite on the road in Washington. onejayhawk
With Clyde Edwards-Hellaire out for several weeks, the running game falls on Derrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon. It could be a lot worse.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/14/kansas-city-chiefs-andy-reid-clyde-edwards-helaire-injury-darrel-williams-jerick-mckinnon/?itm_source=parsely-api Here is a position by position breakdown.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/15/fantasy-preview-kansas-city-chiefs-washington-football-team/ At least we are not up against an elite offense this week. WFT is known for their DL, but that plays into one of our strengths. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/15/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-respects-talented-washington-football-team-defensive-line/ We blew out Philadelphia. This is another chance to win one going away.
onejayhawk
Injury reports. A lot of hurt on both teams. WFT is really hard up for WR. On a related note, Darice Fountain was signed to PS. Habbsawce
I expect Mahomes and Kelce to have a big day and for the defense to nut up and create some turnovers. 42-21 win.
onejayhawk
If the Chiefs cannot win this game, then something is truly wrong. That said, it's no cupcake. WTF has a good offense and a well regarded DL, though the rest of the defense has not kept up. This article has some notes:https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/kansas_city_chiefs_at_washington_football_team_nfl_week_6_notes/s1_16919_36152156 Chris Jones will be out, so Demone Harris was elevated. Frank Clark appears to be approaching full strength, but we will see a lot of Mike Danna and a fair amount of Alex Okafor. It's far from an ideal situation.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/16/kansas-city-chiefs-roster-move-demone-harris-practice-squad-elevation/
Chiefer
Great test for the young OL, hopefully they perform well. Im expecting Heinikie(?) to have a good game, hopefully Sorensen is benched and that actually means something. Knowing Spagz/Reid though itll just be more of the same. onejayhawk
The question is who is Heinike going to throw to? Seriously, who are these guys? Ricky Seals-Jones I have heard of, and not in a good way. The others, not really.

Part of me wants to see him play since I wanted him so bad in the 2nd when we took Hardman. But I also know that he'd likely torch the secondary and I don't want to see that. At RB, Gibson is underrated. Logan Thomas at TE showed potential last year and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make some plays.

In other news, Thornhill starts and Hill will play.https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/chiefs_to_start_safety_juan_thornhill_against_washington_football_team/s1_16631_36161957https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/10/17/tyreek-hill-set-to-play-at-washington/ Edited October 17, 2021 by onejayhawk

Jakuvious
I really like taking that shot. We have some size now, with Fortson and Gordon. Give them chances on the outside more often.

kingseanjohn
I never wish injury upon anyone, but I'm glad Bell is out to give Fortson and Gray more opportunities.
