It is a basic concept that ever scheme should have...why you run so many deep routes with nothing coming underneath in the middle of the field is beyond me and only goes to show that this staff shouldn't be in a ajob. I'd bet a hundred bucks that was Nagy playcall override.

Please make it stop someone 🙏 The difference between drives were crazy...I would love to know how many yards this offence averaged per play under center vs. in the gun...and also how efficient Fields was under center vs. the gun.

Jackson had four great stops/tackles? And was in on some others? I think, based on his track record, Jackson shouldn't be starting. But, he had a good game today. If it continues...huzzah! 15 minutes ago, topwop1 said: I don't know if you're actually serious on JJ. He's a really good young player who had a down game today against one of the better WRs in the game. What's your gripe against him? I'm totally serious. My gripe is that he has been bad to terrible in every game the Bears have played so far this year. If you're able, watch some of the games again, and see what Johnson has done--or, more accurately, hasn't done--in them. It's glaring. After last week, I said I was disappointed, but hadn't given up on Johnson. And then, today, he was even worse, by a fair margin. I pray to the football gods that he makes me eat my words. But I don't think that's going to happen.
incognito_man
Still think Fields is going to be a good one for you guys when it slows down for him.

This will never happen because what ever you are seeing isn't what others are seeing, minus an average game today he has been playing good all season.

Agreed. Adams is a top 3 WR and Rodgers is the best QB to ever play in the NFCN, and Desai put Johnson on am island moat of the game against him. Context matters. Johnson has beem great so far. He has been shown as a top 20 CB this year in coverage so far and allowed opposing QBs to have something like a 50 QBR against him. His tackling has improved too. He's the only DB that has really been good consistently.

A real HC and playcaller will be needed for that to happen. Otherwise he's going to really be held back, like he is now.

Madmike90
Need more roof that this offensive staff have no clue what they are doing?... Week 4+5 = 56% under center for Fields. Today = 59% shotgun snaps for Fields. The results speak for themselves and anyone who thought we were developing an identity on offence just saw it come crashing down around us...did Lazor do this? Was it Nagy? Truth be told it doesn't matter...they all need to go.

There were like five dropped passes of catchable balls. That's personnel (or poor scheming), not overall offensive design. The referees didn't give the Bears a time out, when Fields clearly signaled for one. Is that Lazor's fault, somehow? The Bears almost came back and won the game. Would you disagree with that assessment? I mean...there was life there. They clearly had a chance. But...Nagy needs to go, without a doubt. And that, sadly, means that Lazor and DeFilipo go too. It is what it is.

Ya we get you're a great QB but have some humility man. This is why people don't like you! Couldn’t have said it better myself. So much for being humble, right there is why I loathe the packers and their fans. I can’t wait until they no longer have a hall of fame quarterback and shut the eff up. I think we all saw what a “great” organization they are after Barr ended Rodgers season and they had a mere mortal at QB. Act like you’ve been there before and have some class

You let a soon to be 38 year old rush for a TD like that? Where are the clutch plays from the defense? They held Rodgers to under 200 passing yards. They gave up 17 through 3.5 quarters. I'm sick and f***ing tired of asking the D for clutch plays. Maybe one of these years the offense can make a clutch f***ing play

I would massively disagree that we almost came back and won the game..the Packers were in control of that game as soon as they went 10-7 up...they still had gears left to go up if needs be.

I'm harping on Johnson's play--and IMHO deservedly so--but that doesn't mean I think the defense, overall, played poorly. Anything but. Johnson was just the weak link, and a VERY weak link, at that. Overall, the D did their jobs. But the offense came close. We're getting there.
