When I look at Campbell all I see is finally a reason not to have to draft another Jake Ryan

Pay him 4 years 300 million if it means I no longer have to endure our scouting staff's idea of what an ILB should be.

Yeah I don't understand why anyone would want to let him walk...

It's like folding when you wake up with pocket Aces.

We scored an elite ILB for $2 mil.

Whose elite five games (for now) might be a fluke.

eh, it's not like he came outta nowhere. He's been good in the league before he came here; he's just definitely putting it all together in this scheme.

Strategically, he's probably the best in-season extension candidate. He's a vet who's never hit a serious pay-day and is playing at a very very high level for us. Very high potential value extension.

The issue is that there isn't an alpha receiver on the roster, so if you let Davante go, you almost have to draft one, trade for one, or sign one.

Sign one is basically impossible and it would be a downgrade.  Trade you're only getting a disgruntled/injured player like Odell Beckham or something equally fishy.  And Draft one is a crapshoot.  That's probably the route they would go with this, but they just missed out on the 2 best receiver classes in a long time, so it might take a pretty high pick to nab their guy.

And what I mean, is while the packers have a few nice pieces at WR/TE - MVS is a specialist.  Rodgers is a specialist/niche guy, and he hasn't developed yet, Lazard is JAG, Tonyan is a FA and underwhelming as a primary option, and the rest are fringe options.

Somehow Davante is almost more important to the success of any future offense more so than Aaron Rodgers.

Campbell should be a pretty easy resigning. Adams....I just don't see it when you have Jenkins and Alexander coming due for paydays. Both take priority over Adams who will be 29 this year.

When Rodgers leaves next year, I think you're looking at a total revamp of the WR room. Adams gone, MVS gone, Cobb gone, maybe even Lazard gone.

I want  Love to have a fighting chance with a truly legit #1 wideout .. that might as well be Adams.

They need to change the way they operate then.  Silverstein put out an article today that said that other conservative teams like the Steelers are starting to give out more guaranteed money to their star players (TJ Watt deal).  The Bears have tagged Allen Robinson for two years in a row.  He hasn't rioted or revolted yet .. and neither will Davonte.

Davonte isn't playing a down on the franchise tag. He's in a different league than Robinson. He's earned the super-mega-deal and isn't going to risk anything until he gets it. Nor should he.

Both he and Rodgers can pick their teams next year. If they don't agree to extend Rodgers, he's gone via trade. Adams has Rodgers' back. He isn't staying in GB if management won't do what it takes to work it out with Rodgers. GB can try to tag/trade, but Adams can preempt any trade offers from undesirable teams by indicating that he won't sign an extension. No team is giving up a premium pick and franchise money for a 1 year rental who doesn't want to be there. Only Adams' preferred destination will make a meaningful trade offer and it won't be a 1st.

Adams' future in GB hinges entirely on whether management and Rodgers can come together. If so, both Rodgers and Adams will likely make contract concessions to make it work in GB. If not, Adams can strong-arm his way anywhere he wants, including Rodgers' destination.

Yeah fans want to extend Davante. Great player. No doubt..

But i know what gute and Lafluer will be thinking.

Lafluer’s offensive was more creative with out Davante in the past. Come play off time when Refs allow mugging, Davante will not have much separation against stout D’s since he is excellent route runner but not physical enough to get separation and Arod will stare towards him..

my 1st preference would be to Extend Jaire and Jenkins.

if i am gutey i will parcel Arod, Davante and David bhak all in same year.. Anyway we can’t play 2 players LT money. That issue will be resolved as well..

No way i let bakh go, the line has underperformed without him. Jenkins isnt playing himself into LT money,  RT money im fine with that, cant be rebuilding the line every year, especially with a new QB if thats what it comes to.

Line is underperforming now. You have < 5 starts between Nijman, Runyan, Myers and Newmen. After an year they all accumulate tremendous experience.

Elgton, Runyan, Myers, Newmen and Billy T makes up nice line. Dont worry…

This is the comment of someone who doesn't understand the salary cap.

This isn't accurate.

His per game averages in the playoffs equate to about 100 catches 1300 yards and 13 TDs over a 16 game season.

He's been elite in the playoffs.

There’s nothing stopping the Packers from using a franchise tag on Adams and trading him. His new team can then give him the contract he wants.
The Packers could get a real haul for those 2 next year if Rogers wants out and Adams wants record money.

We must watch very very different games. Adams in the postseason is essentially the exact opposite of everything you just said IMO.

Like @packfanfb said, that's probably unlikely.  He's going to need to clear $12M/year in AAV to qualify as a 4th round pick.  There are only 4 ILBs (according to Spotrac) that are making $12M+/year.  He'd be a 5th round pick tops.
