I'm praying, hoping and thinking that he wants to keep his buddies together, which principally means Adams and what Rodgers wants more than anything is the assurance, through his contract, that he is the starter going forward. Give him a 3 year extension after this year with some serious guaranteed coin (do a Cousins and guarantee the whole thing) but make his AAV around $26m, the same amount it would currently cost in terms of dead cap if we bounced him. Personally I thought he would be back this year even though I still am on the 'trade him' train. The only way Rodgers is staying in Green Bay is making it to the Superb Owl. In the meantime we have a cheap back-up that we may need to help us win games. Then after 2024, when Rodgers is 42, we have to make that decision of what to do.
