Like most of the crap episodes. Of all the episodes, this is the one that should have had that wildly dark, tongue-in-cheek morbid humor. This one didn't. The worst two episodes were this one and Arkangel. And no, the irony of Arkangel was not lost on me. It was just horribly done and horribly executed in almost every way. skywindO2 Posted January 8, 2018 Share Posted January 8, 2018 (edited) Don't love National Anthem but didn't mind it either for the reasons @Geek said, it's certainly a bold start to the show. I wasn't a fan of Arkangel either though. Arkangel was too heavy handed with helicopter parenting thing and also introduced other ideas that it barely expanded on that are significantly more interesting than helicopter parenting. After the grandfathers heart attack, I thought it was going to focus more on how damaging to society raising children to never experience stressful situations would be but by the time she was "15" none of that mattered and it was just about her mom invading her privacy. The Kylo Ren looking kid introducing her to porn was hilarious though. Fwiw, my favorite episode is probably Shut Up and Dance. It's a fun ride the whole way with a really sick reveal by the end. Plus given the opportunity, groups online today like 4chan neckbeards would absolutely blackmail people like that which made it seem more real than others. Watched the first episode the acting and costumes were excellent, the story was so incredibly boring and I couldn't convince myself to watch the rest of it. Pretty creative. I freaking loves James Van Der Beek in the second episode. I would say 7/10 as a season with hopes they make a second because its a good 'filler' type show.
