Vikings are 3-4off the bye in Zimmer's tenure.

Lets square they up next Sunday, eh?

With an expected W-L of 4.1-1.9 the Cowboys are definitely a little overvalued and could regress back towards the mean in the coming weeks. That said, they're also #3 in the NFL in point differential (+59) and margin of victory (9.8 PPG). According to Pro Football Reference's SRS the match up is between the 4th and 7th best teams in the NFL

FiveThirtyEight's elo rankings puts the Cowboys as a 0.5 point favorite and gives the Vikings about a 48% chance to win.

A game that could loom large in playoff seeding and is about as close to coin flip odds as you will see any given week.

WFT just cut Hopkins. I would take him over Greg joseph.

No, just ride the year out with Joseph and then decide where to go.  There's nothing positive that can come out of having a turnstile at kicker in-season.  It just exacerbates the same problems they've had, no consistency...and it's a position that requires patience and consistency.  Hopkins may be better historically, but it's not worth it to risk it at this point.

Yep. And while Joseph has missed a couple big kicks, he’s been fairly consistent. The kneejerk reactions to kickers has not served Zimmer well. Ride the storm and see if your ST coach can work some magic.

It was actually a good weekend thus far for the Vikings, who saw their playoff odds rise from 39% to 45%, according to FiveThirtyEight. This is in large part due to the Bears, 49ers, Eagles, WFT, and Panthers all losing. The only outcome that seemingly didn't improve the Vikings' playoff odds was Green Bay winning.

I believe the Saints losing tonight would also help the Vikings' wildcard odds, even if only marginally.
