mikebpackfan
So does this mean he was IDed as close contact or because he tested positive? Or could be either?
packfanfb
Well, can we go 7-0 without him? Likely no MVS as well. Probably better at this point that this game is on Thursday. Just give it the old college try, escape without injury and move on to KC.

Arthur Penske
Fair, but what are they without Adam’s, Bak, MVS, Jaire, Z, etc? Edited October 25, 2021 by Arthur Penske
SBLIII
Field Yates on Twitter: "The Cardinals have activated OLB Chandler Jones from the COVID-19 list. So while the Packers are staring at being without one of their stars in Davante Adams on Thursday night, Arizona is getting back one of its top players." / Twitter

This is unchartered territory since those folks have all been on the squad.

packfanfb
Serious question though given the Adams news. Do we really think that COVID is going anywhere in the next 5-10 years? So at what point does the league stop with these automatic "you can't play" sanctions just because you have tested positive for COVID, but might not even be sick? It's an unprecedented time where professional athletes are being forced to miss games despite otherwise being perfectly fine. Conversely, we've watched athletes play through serious cases of the flu and other illnesses (guys literally puking on the field, etc.) Going to be interesting to see how the league handles this in the upcoming years because COVID is probably here to stay.

It is going to be much like the flu. You get the vaccine and it protects against a lot of variations of the flu but not all. Same with COVID. There is now another variant of COVID in parts of the world which seems to be vaccine resistant. They will keep making new vaccines as these new variants come out.
