MOSteelers56
So it seems like strides are being made to have a season this year?

The Owners are viewing anything other than a complete lopsided "win" in their favor as unfeasible.

Players/union are hurting themselves. The MLBPA's goal coming into this was focus on: 1] Getting their young guys paid quicker and MLB gave them that with the prearb pool. It may not have been the amount they wanted ($85 million), but $30 million (reportedly) ain't shabby. 2] Their FA actually being FA's - they got that with the MLB willing to do away with the draft pick compensation attached to FA's They weren't going to get everything they wanted in this deal, but they got some major concessions and could go back to the table in 4-5 years. BayRaider
I don’t know why everyone is blaming Manfred. The PA and players have some ridiculously high demands, and are the ones not really meeting in the middle.
Mesa_Titan
Now we have cancelled regular season games. Of course we do. Idk who to blame, but I'm pissed.

The reason for the high demands is from getting completely bent over the last few CBAs. I'll never understand siding with billionaires lol.

I’ll never understand siding with players, without any critical thinking either. 340M 13 year contracts not enough? Still gotta feed their families…? If players want owner revenue, buy a team. Players revenue being more than owner revenue would defeat the purpose of running a business.

And how many of those contracts are there? Over 70% of the league aren't even millionaires. And the fact that you think I'm solely siding with the players without "critical thinking" is comical. I feel like fans side against owners automatically just because they are billionaires. The player share is already 48-49% isn’t it? How much more could they possibly want? The contracts in MLB for players are already absolutely absurd. Also, I don’t agree with players getting paid quicker. Smaller Market teams like the A’s and Rays will never have a chance. The way I phrase things in a question form, is just that, phrasing.
