I think there are some on the fence as to thinking OBJ is just a big deal based on name rather than his play. I think Cleveland held him back. I dont think Baker is as great as some try to make him out to be. Yes he can play within the structure of an offense when everything is perfect around him but he doesnt make one person better. Like as much as people crap on Goff, when he was with the Rams he did get Kupp, Woods, and Cooks the ball to make those guys have great seasons. Yes Landry get his numbers but you mean to tell me that OBJ couldnt be productive? I dont even blame Stefanski bc when he was the OC of the Vikings and had Keenum as the starting QB at least Thielen and Diggs were being productive. We know Stafford is going to get the ball to OBJ and he will be productive while the Rams still run their offense the way that they are running it. From everything Ive heard, OBJ has always been wanting to come to the Rams. Jay Glazer said OBJ wanted to come to the Rams the moment McVay got there in 2017. Even when he was traded to the Browns, OBJ was thinking can he still get traded to the Rams? I never thought Cleveland was the right fit for OBJ. Just like Id use a college basketball analogy and say when Zion Williams came out he was never going to go to Vanderbilt. It wouldve always been Kentucky or Duke. So I think the environment for OBJ in LA feels literally like home bc technically it is his home away from home which is New Orleans where he is from. The Rams offense is perfect for him. The team having a great chance to win a championship is also attractive too. The only question is, whether or not this is long term? We have heard Les say he wants to sign Von to a longer term deal. I think for OBJ he would want to stay with the Rams long term as well. Unless it just completely falls apart this year I would think that he would not want to go to another team. Yes he will probably want to get paid but OBJ makes a ton of money already off the field and has made a ton of money from his contract. Right now its about him feeling great where he is at and this is the perfect place for him. Its going to be interesting to see if Les can get it done in the offseason with OBJ even if its a 2yr deal. Then what happens with Woods? Do they trade Woods to keep OBJ? Talent wise I strongly believe OBJ is more talented than Woods and the Rams were willing to trade Woods this offseason when they were interested in Julio. Woods and OBJ are different WR and between the 2 i still keep Woods as he's a more complete WR than OBJ. Unless i see OBJ blocking defender like Woods do, i won't change my mind. Now the most important is that i was affraid OBJ coming to LA would be a bummer for Woods but it looks like he gave OBJ phone number to Ramsey and then called him to convince to come here. Again there were rumors the Rams was going to trade Woods around the time they were interested in trading for Julio. If the Rams are going to keep OBJ long term, then do they come into next season thinking Kupp, Woods, OBJ, Jefferson, and Tutu? We know the Rams arent going to trade Kupp. We know they arent going to trade Jefferson. Many thought the Rams drafting Jefferson was going to be Woods replacement eventually. Unless OBJ is in 2014 form (which is probably like unlikely scenario), Woods isn't going anywhere. He is the definition of what the Rams want at WR. Then when we heard rumors of Woods was considered being traded in the offseason when the Rams were interested in trading for Julio then you have to at least think about it as a possibility now.
