Super Bowl - do you take Bucs/Rams OR the field?

The existence of the Packers and Cardinals already makes betting against the field almost not worth it, and that's before we get to the AFC, who all suck except for the Titans(who in fact just beat the Rams in LA without their best player) but could easily pull off an upset on any given Sunday.

Its easy to take the field bc in a one and done playoff format with a bunch of great teams or at the very least great teams when they are clicking you are at least looking at the Cards, Cowboys, Packers, Bills, Ravens, Chargers, Titans (if Henry comes back in the playoffs), and Im not even counting out the Chiefs. So thats 8 teams. HOWEVER, Im saying the Bucs and Rams over the field. I said last season in the NBA that the winner of the Bucks/Nets series will win the title. It didnt matter how well the Suns were playing. Im saying in the NFL the Bucs or Rams will come out of the NFC and which ever team does will win the Superbowl.

With the Bucs it just comes down to getting healthy. Their secondary hasnt been healthy all season long. Gronk and AB has been in and out of the lineup with injuries. Now we see Godwin hurt and Miller has been missing the season since he got hurt at the beginning of the season. If you can say that they will be somewhat healthy come the playoffs then they definitely have a great chance. Plus I do think when you are coming off a Superbowl win, the regular season can be boring. Its like all you want to do is get to the playoffs and then you are ready to go. Now that could be their downfall bc you cant just turn it off and turn it on randomly but if there is one person not to doubt its Brady.

With the Rams they are positioning themselves to make sure that last season in the playoffs dont happen to them again. When they went to Green Bay, they had a hurt Donald who wasnt effective and they didnt have Kupp. That was hard to overcome especially when Goff wasnt going to be the difference maker in that game. Now the Rams add Von just incase if Donald or Floyd get hurt again. They add OBJ just incase if Kupp get hurt again. Then Stafford has shown to be a difference maker in games that Goff hasnt shown in years for the Rams. The chemistry is already there. Its not like the Rams added tons of pieces to the team. The core pieces on defense and offense have been there for years now. Stafford seems to be more and more comfortable in the system. All Von and OBJ have to do is fit right in to their roles. Von role is going to be rushing the passer. OBJ role is going to be run routes, beat his man and catch the ball. In essence this Rams team is like the Bucs team from last season and the Bucs had no issues even going on the road 3 straight games in the playoffs and winning bc they had all that they needed and some to win even when Brady in some games and/or spots didnt look particularly great.

Now I do think styles make fights so its going to be interesting to see who the Rams and Bucs match up against in the playoffs. If the Bucs matchup against the Saints in the playoffs that might be interesting. If the Rams matchup against the Packers in Green Bay in the cold that might be interesting. Im not ready to say the Cards now figured out the Rams bc they beat them once out of their last nine games. The Cards and the Cowboys have to show me some playoff playoff success. In the AFC its too wide open with inconsistencies for me to confidently say any one team can beat really any team in the NFC. So we shall see. Its definitely interesting but again Ill take the Buc/Rams over the field.

I mean, the Rams just lost to a team missing their best player, so field by a lot.

If thats your argument then explain the Bills losing to the Jags and only scoring 6pts? Explain the Titans losing to the Jets? Explain the Cowboys being down 0-30 to the Broncos and losing? Explain the Packers getting dominated by the Saints in Jacksonville technically a Saints "home game"? Explain the Ravens getting beat by the Dolphins with two injured QBs? Better yet, explain the Ravens getting spanked by the Bengals at home? Explain the Chargers losing to the Pats?

So I do see your point bc we know every team has at least a bad week but I feel more comfortable with the Rams and the Bucs more than any team. The Bucs won the Superbowl last season and brought everyone back so they can be ready to make another Superbowl run. The Rams was in the divisional round with a two banged up QBs in Goff and Wolford and was without Kupp and basically an ineffective Donald. Now they had a better QB in Stafford then added Von and OBJ not just to make their units better but also too for depth just incase Kupp and Donald gets hurt again in a playoff game and the Rams wont be in a pinch. I think both the Bucs and Rams set themselves up great. Nothing is a lock but if you want to talk about best position to win a Superbowl its these two teams. Every other top 10 or so teams have a good if not great chances too but everything has to go right for them and I feel like right now aside for Brady or Stafford missing the game, if one thing goes wrong I think the Bucs and Rams team still can be in good enough shape to overcome and win the the title.
