You're really trying to push this narrative. 100% of Dolphins fans do this trade again. 100% of Eagles fans as well. Why not call it what it is, a good trade for both sides.

Not true. Maxwell is awful (and now gone), Alonso is a below average liability on defense, and so far Tunsil is struggling mightily at tackle (though that could be pinpointed to the Dolphins screwing around by putting him at guard his rookie year to appease Albert). The only reason Maxwell appeared to play well toward the end of '16 was b/c of the other glaring weaknesses along Miami's DB's so many teams chose weaker targets to pic on.

We should have stayed with our top 10 pick in '16 or have gotten better value elsewhere for the #8 selection.

This is the second trade in recent years in which the Eagles fleeced the Dolphins. Miami is being Tannenbombed and duped by Gase.

Go back even further and you have us getting a 2nd for AJ Feely who ended up back with us the next season.

Could also add in the fact the Dolphins traded up for Dion Jordan so we wouldn't take him, which most likely we would have. Instead we got Lane Johnson.

Maybe your o-line has been better blocking these past weeks?

Ajayi in Miami had to gain most of his yardage after contact which speaks to the struggles of the o-line.

Anyways, I think this trade works out for both sides. You get a mid round pick for a guy you likely weren't keeping after next year and  we get a guy who can at least give us a boost while we are in win now mode.

If so that would make our backups better than our starters.. they've been forced to start Jake Brendel, Jesse Davis, Sam Young at OL this past week. I don't think that's the case.

The benefit to the Eagles is much more apparent. Even if the rumors about his knee are true (any Eagles fans notice his gait?), if he bolsters a SB run.. even a short-term rental (hypothetical) makes it worth it.

Williams has a receiving TD, no?

Ajayi' been great in limited carries. Hes fitting in well with a dynamic offense.

I really do like Drake. He's not a lead back but he'll fit in nice I'm not sold on Williams but maybe he can be that other guy.

Yeah, Drake is a nice change of pace back. Williams is meh, but he's good depth. The Dolphins will draft a RB for sure.

Drake is explosive like Williams / Ajayi are not; however it's obvious the coaches don't trust him.

Williams is as vanilla of a RB that exists but it's his 4th year on the team, he's familiar with his assignments and is a reasonable blocker; he seems much more effective at catching the ball out of the backfield than running between the tackles to be honest (his big run this week was a massive hole which is a rarity in and of itself). He also plays about half the special teams snaps (so does Drake for that matter).

To be fair it's entirely possible. The Eagles started Isaac Seumalo at LG to begin the year. He was worse than his immediate backup, Chance Warmack. And Chance Warmack was worse than his backup, Stefan Wisniewski.
