Would’ve preferred Kiffin or Aranda for Miami but I’ll take anything over Manny Diaz. Cristobal is a hell of a recruiter and he’ll be going to one of the best talent hotspots in the country. This combined with the rumored AD(Radakovich) and numerous donors saying they're finally willing to contribute to the football probram, things could headed in the right direction. Cristobal will need to knock the coordinator hirings out of the park. Go after Joe Brady. Go after Muschamp. They need to build an awesome staff and show Miami isn’t some pushover after all these years.

It's so weird to me that so many coaches see Oregon as a stepping stone job.

To be fair, Chip and that pogue Helfrich didn't. Chip just got the NFL itch and hates recruiting.

Taggart did, but he's a tool. Screw that guy. I'm glad he flamed out at FSU and isn't even doing well at FAU. Not a single good thing to say about him. Snake oil salesman through and through.

Cristobal, no hard feelings. He's a Miami guy through and through. It's home in many ways and probably the only job that could have realistically pulled him out of Eugene. Plus, he had some personal non-football reasons. Nothing but the best of luck to him.

I don't necessarily think it's viewed as a launching pad, we've just had two bad breaks with it back to back. I just hope we don't have a three-peat. The timing sucks for sure though. I genuinely have little clue who's available and worth the shot. Obvious in-house candidates are sparse and have come and gone.

If we could lure Jeff Tedford out of retirement for a season or two, I'd frankly be fine with it for a short run.
