2021-2022 Coaching Carousel Thread

Not a head coaching change, but this is pretty big for OU.

Kinda figured this was the case with him being so non-committal about what he was gonna do before the new OU staff was hired and then seeing him on the recruiting trail with Venables the other day.

Probably the position coach I wanted most on their staff, cause the  USC OL needs a lot of work and the talent out West the next 2 years is unfortunately kinda weak for the big boys, so it would help having him to help recruit, especially out of state. Oh well.

Looks like that's not the case at least yet.

I feel like this is the second time they have jumped the gun on Lanning. Didn't it happen with OU too?

Yep lol

CORRECTION: Georgia DC Dan Lanning in the Mix, but No OU Coaching Decision YetOVER

EDITOR'S NOTE: Earlier Saturday night, SI Sooners inadvertently published a story reporting that Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was being hired as the next head football coach at the University of Oklahoma. As of 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, Oklahoma has not named its new head coach. SI Sooners regrets the error.
