Can anyone stop the Packers?

Recommended Posts

Aside from a freak week one loss to the Saints, a Jordan Love-led game, and a last-second FG from the Vikings, the Packers look to be in cruise control even with significant injuries. If Rodgers is bothered by his toe, his play doesn't reflect it much. Look at their closest competitors - the Bucs look very beatable through the air. The Cards still don't know if Murray will return fully healthy. The Rams are in a major slump with a perennially injured QB. The Cowboys are, well, the Cowboys. If they can't stop the Pack.. who can?

I think GB is now the team to beat in the NFC but I wouldn't say they have been in cruise control this year. The most promising thing for them is if they actually get those injured guys back and playing at a high level again then I'm not sure they are losing in Lambeau in the playoffs.

They almost lost to a niners team that couldn't score in the first half.

Cards muffed a punt (you know, the one Rondale tried to play off as if he didn't touch it, therefore didn't try to recover) and gave the Packers another stupid easy TO at the 10 yard line (similar-ish to the one Brady through vs Giants). Then our all pro receiver forgot how to turn around for easy GW TD and then we lost by 3.

Didn't Rams also muff two punts?

Answer to stop Pack:  Stop giving Rodgers the damn ball within the 10-15 yard line multiple times for starters.

Yes.

Given injuries and such, they might be the best overall team in the league considering how they've done with what they're missing. But even if they are, it isn't by a long stretch.

There really isn't an "elite" team in the league right now.

The difference between the 9 win Packers and quite a few 5 and 6 win teams currently jockeying for WC spots is pretty negligible. Credit to GB for having then "wins" in the W/L column, but even if they won out the rest of the regular season, it woulda be far from your usual 14 win type of season.
