Snap counts are out.

This week they mean much more than the Raiders blowout. With the game on the line, Clyde plyed 70% and Darrel Williams 30%. Pringle and Robinson played 2/3 of plays, but only 7 targets and 3 receptions. Gray is playing at least as much as Bell now. Niang played a full game.

On defense. Bolton played all but one snap and hitchens 84%. At CB Ward 96%, Hughes 74%, Fenton 60%, Baker 22%. On DL Reed 80%, Clark 72%, Ingram 71%, Wharton 64%, Nnadi 60%. that's a nice chunk for Wharton.

That would have been a far different game with Jones and Gay in there. Nevermind Sneed, the Chargers controlled the clock by running up the middle, something that wouldn't have happened like that.

While the narrative is that Kelce only went off  because Derwin James went out of the game, they gloss over the fact that KC's best run stoppers weren't playing. Gets old.

The comment was made that the Chargers owned the trenches last night. I am not usre that is the case, but the OL did not have a particularly good game. It's not a good thing when Mahomes is the leading rusher, particularly when it all came on one run. The pass pro was mostly there, though the strip sack was big, but the run blocking was not.

On the other side, Troy Aikman said at least three times that the team really missed Chris Jones--no sacks, only three hits on Herbert. With the back seven missing the two best run support players, it was a long night ...

until Pat went all Mahomes. After the interception, that is 9:29 in the 4th quater and in OT, he was 10-14, 197 yds, 3 TD.

Resembling some HS playoff games, both teams scored 27 points through three queaters, then 35 in the 4th quarter and OT. Our defense was short handed, so they had reason to be winded. Troy commented about how tired the Chargers pass rush looked. I wonder how much the 11 play, 6 minute, opening TD drive took out of the Chargers three hours later

According to ESPN's win-probability graphic, the Chargers were 93% to win just before Kelce's 69 yard ramble.

Honestly they had their way with us in the trenches, particularly in run blocking where they routinely blew open holes. I remember Wharton in particular being steam rolled repeatedly. Our good fortune that they didnt rely on the run more on 4th and short situations. Pretty disappointed Clark didnt have a good game against Pipkins.

Herbert is amazing though, even when we could get pressure he routinely escaped and made a big play again and again. Dudes got a laser rifle

On the flip side the Chiefs OL couldnt get any push up front. Niang got beat by Bosa quite a bit, although he really got no help against the all-pro. But the rush kinda activated Mahomes, lanes werent maintained and he could escape and make big plays again.

The new COVID directive says that the league will be more agressive in testing symptomatic players and staff. Left unstated is that they will stop testing everyone. Unless a player starts displaying symptoms, my understanding is that they do not have to test. We will see how it plays.
