@BrownLeader Many thanks for the reply. I'll look them up.

Were there any on your list that make you go "WOW!"

I have to say that Marcus Jones (CB) stood out (in terms of value for money). 2 punt returns and 2 kick returns for touchdowns. Looks like he could be had as a mid-late 3rd round pick. He was first choice as a returner on the Sporting News 2021 All-American team.

Kyren Williams and Zay Flowers don't appear to have much experience as returners and seem to require a pick in the region of the very end of round 2 to the top of round 3. RB James Cook looks like good value (thedraftnetwork has him as a 5th round pick), very athletic and great feet.

That seems like a very odd list honestly.  Marcus Jones at least you have on there, he is arguably the most productive of all of the return guys over time and he looks to be a pretty decent corner as well.

How is Jameson Williams no on this list?  Dude was a standout kick return man arguably the best in the nation in terms of taking it the distance.  And where is Jahan Dotson, he is a very solid punt return man, not to mention Trestan Ebner who is really productive and could get drafted on his return ability alone.  Jequez Ezzard from Sam Houston State I liked last year, have not seen him this year but is cat quick and absolutely has return potential with his quickness.

Some of the guys you listed might not even be in this draft, Ealy not sure he declares and same with Zay Flowers.  Also not sure Malik Davis is a good return man at all and again with Deuce Vaughn not sure he declares or even can either, isnt he a true SOPH.  Doubs also not sure he is a return man at all, he was never that good at special teams on Nevada.  Winston Wright has big time ability and quickness but not sure he declares early either for the draft this year.

Williams and Dotson I see as starting NFL WR's. I was looking at guys that would be down the depth chart but primary returners. Haven't watched Ebner and Ezzard. Flowers is returning. Malik Davis returned kicks this season and is a really underrated 3rd down guy imo. Doubs has been the primary punt returner for Nevada for his career and is a good open field runner with secure hands. We'll see about Ealy and Wright.

Favorite guy on there was Flowers but he's returning to school. After that I guess I'd say Kyren Williams...but he's talented enough to be a starting RB for many teams.

Doubs never had over 170 yards punt returning in a season any of the four years he played on Nevada, and only returned one kick.  Like this year for example, he only had 12 actual punt returns so yeah he went back and caught it but rarely even returned it for yards really.  Sure if in a bind one could do it but physically he is not a punt return man unless all you are looking for is someone to catch it.

On the other hand Ebner had 24 returns this year for 511 yards and 1 TD and the year before that 612 yards on 19 returns and 2 TDs.

your comparing kick returns and punt returns.

Doubs has had 37 career punt returns for a solid 12.5 avg. It's not a ton of attempts but he's also amassed 225 catches for 3322 yds during the same time.

Ebner's had 25 career punt returns for just a 6.5 avg. I'm not saying Doubs is the better punt returner but he's had plenty experience. Reliable hands is a key trait and he gets to top speed quickly with quick feet. He's not breaking any tackles but he'll eat up space quickly if afforded it.

If we're talking purely returns, Marcus Jones is the best I've seen so far. He's just an unbelievable athlete. And he has added value as a slot CB. Wish he had the size to play outside because I love his physicality and athletic traits, but he can't handle big WRs. Could be one of the best slot CBs, though. And part of me would want to see what he could do on offense. But I'd hate to waste his defensive skillset.
