Just got Morse and LDT back so it clearly isn't a personnel thing there. Hunt is getting no holes right now. Need to really commit to a base with 3 down linemen. Make our nickel a 3-3-5 instead of a 2-4-5 if we have to. Or shift the big guys over, put Houston's hand in the dirt, pull Ford/Hali off the field, and make it a 4-2-5. But we can't keep going with a Zombo/Ford - Jones - Bailey - Houston front in a nickel. It's not cutting it in run D or pass rush. If our pass rush was dominant you can tolerate that more, but it isn't. I want to see Mitchell back at RCB in nickel and dime as well. Acker didn't do well today. They were both bad. The run blocking was the worst individual bit, but I don't think any part of the team stands out as not warranting blame for this one. 17 points isn't enough on O. 28 points allowed is too much on D. Lost the turnover battle. Too many penalties. Even had a special teams gaffe or two (botched pinning them at the 1, a few poor decisions in returns.) 3rd and 4th down conversion was really killer though. We actually averaged more yards per play than Dallas. But they were sustaining drives and we were not. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And like PIT, they are a bad matchup for us given their personnel and scheme.
