aceinthehouse
I know some of you want to draft a WR in the draft at #11. I'm opposed to this, btw. But if I had to spend my #11 pick for a wideout, I'd go this route.

ARTMONK HOF
Hill’s new deal with Miami guarantees him $52.535 million at signing, a source told PFT. He’s then guaranteed $72.2 million at the start of the new league year in 2023.

Troublez
Yea - plus I think they have a really creative coach. Should be interesting!!! It's funny how copy cat this league is - the Rams win a super bowl and suddenly 1st and 2nd round draft picks are not valued anymore...... aceinthehouse
So Miami has Waddle, Parker, Hill? Be nice if we could get a trio. I've been screaming for Julio Jones for 2 weeks. He'll probably get signed by the Colts now with Matt Ryan there. I guess Cam Sims & Dyami Brown are future pro bowlers... Nah....we'll draft Garrett @#11 & he'll bust. That's our MO

Because rookies have proven NOTHING. That's why... Could they be great? Absolutely. But for every 1 Terry McLaurin, there are 9 Josh Doctson's, Rod Gardner or Michael Westbrook's. And the irony in all of this? McLaurin was a 3rd Rd pick. Not a 1st rounder like the other 3. I would rather sign a 33 yr old Julio Jones, who's slower, more beat up & simply a tired old man as our trio of WR's....& Who's a 🔒 for the HOF, than draft Garrett or Olave @#11 & watch them struggle to beat out Cam Sims for that 4th WR spot. it's simple...it really is. sign WR Julio Jones to a 2-3 yr deal for 17M. draft another WR in the draft..... and watch this team make the Playoffs. I would put money on it! I would Guarantee a playoff birth if they did this. But no.... we'll draft Garrett & he'll suck McLaurin will twist an ankle in wk 3 Curtis Samuels can't overcome the pressure as the #1 WR on the team. And Wentz will get killed back there cause his only reasonable target will probably be Logan Thomas for him. If he's not reinjured again... It like a book not written yet... All that can be avoided by 1 signing of Julio Jones.

Not only that, but he can’t stay healthy at all, we dealt with that last year with Samuel…… RIP but look at what happened with Demarion’s Thomas when he left the Broncos, AJ Green when he left the Bengals, Kelvin Benjamin when he left the Panthers, Chad Johnson when he left Cincy, Beckham when he went to the browns. guys past their primes that didn’t work out or have the spark they had with their previous teams. Don’t get me wrong, you do have your randy mosses and Terrell Owen’s but those are rare. Julio will retire before he signs a 3 year 17 mill deal. That wouldn’t be worth it for him. The only two logical places to go (if he could stay healthy would be Indy and GB. I’ll take the chance on the rookie and build the team over spending more money at WR on someone who is a risk with injuries. We have to extend Terry and already paying Samuel decent coin. It makes no sense. I would of been alright with Allen Robinson with that contract, or JuJu on the deal he did, heck I may even try out will fuller on the cheap before I look at Julio. I always love your enthusiasm but your not the most realistic thinker. Julio doesn’t make sense for us unless it’s a cheap 1 year deal. No need to tie up guarantees money on a longer more expensive contract for him. if he signed with us and was a pro bowl caliber player I would eat my words and admit you were right, but I don’t see that happening
aceinthehouse
This guy points out, what I've been trying to say. So I'll quote him here. Warhead36 Posted 4 minutes ago People bringing up Sims and Brown. They're just guys. Largely a dime a dozen. Talented sure, but neither project to be anyone that scares the opposing D. You need three. Yes THREE legitimate receiving threats. We have one for sure in McLaurin. MAYBE Samuel is one, we'll see. That still leaves us needing one more. The Cowboys drafted Lamb when they had Gallup and Cooper. The Bengals drafted Chase when they had Higgins and Boyd. We need more weapons Now he's advocating drafting a WR in the 1st... But I actually want to dbl down on this thoughts. I would sign Julio Jones first... THEN maybe draft a WR in the first, if he's the player the coaches want. But your not forced too in any capacity. Can you imagine having Julio Jones & drafting Olave? We would have #1)Terry McLaurin #2)Julio Jones #3)Curtis Samuels And Cam Sims, Dyami Brown & Olave at #4,5 & 6 in no specific order. Any other WR's would be camp fodder or practice squad, as we probably won't carry more than 6. Now THAT, is a wide receiving core! That is what we need to do for Carson Wentz.
