Pretty sure I voted for myself in many categories although not first? Maybe I did I don’t remember. Because I felt I deserved it. Sue me. Pretty sure I voted for Mwil and Jlash above myself for coach.

I don't have a problem with it tbh. Just "shots fired" kind of thing. I don't personally do it, but that's just a personal style.

To be fair I wasn’t going to but @rackcs wanted three people per thing and I didn’t want to give three people per thing because I already submitted my whole ballot. So that’s what it was.

That's just wrong. He had a reduced role in Pittsburgh compared to Philly but he was a tremendous player in Pittsburgh. And he was only rotational in Pitt because we had Heyward and Tuitt. If we didn't have one of those guys, Hargrave would've played many more snaps. He was great in Pittsburgh, it was sad when he left.

So your reasoning is that he can't be breakout player of the year because he got more opportunities to play in Philly? Come on man.

That is the most ridiculous if you ever probably ever said. Javon Hargrave played both DE and NT in Pittsburgh but he was just a rotational guy. It's actually the reason he left and Pittsburgh opted not to resign him. He was an excellent player in Pittsburgh given the quantity he played there. He shined more in Philly because he was played more.

Bold was literally the reasoning behind me putting him as a breakout player. I don't understand how this is a difficult concept.

Except he played a similar percentage of snaps his his last season in Pittsburgh and last season with Philly. Point is he's played at the level he's playing at this season before and also played similar levels of snaps before. It's probably just because I'm more aware of his level of play while in Pittsburgh but I'd definitely consider him someone who has already broken out.

Except that's not true. This is just his second season playing 60% or more of the snaps in a season and has a career high 7.5 sacks, putting him t-4th among DTs. Also career highs in TFL and QB hits (the latter more than doubling his previous career high).

You may very well have seen him play at a high level in Pittsburgh (remember, I drafted Hargrave! I have a high opinion of him too), but I am vehemently arguing that this is not only his best season, it's the first time he's gotten significant attention outside his home market. That qualifies as a breakout to me.
